Translating pages[edit]

Hello, salut, and thanks a lot for translating some of the Wehrmacht biographies from the French Wiki. As I'm into article translation as well, I'd like to point out though that we should not place the hint "This article contains information from ... Wikipedia" into the References section, but always into "External links". Referencing to Wikipedia is called self-referencing and should be avoided because Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source.

For maintaining the GFDL license of the translated content we must credit the original text though, preferably with a permanent link to the version. That can easily be done with {{Translation/ref}} on the article page (again, please in "External links") or on the talk page with {{translated page}}. That said, keep up the good job. Hi De728631, Thank you for these good advices. You recommend me to be more accurate in my references, and more articulate in my articles. I'll try to do my best. Please, don't hesitate to correct my deficient grammar, and my rough spelling. Touquedillon (talk) 22:08, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Walther Kittel[edit]

Hello. Your page on Walther Kittel talks in the lead about Eugen Muller. Can you fix this? I don't know the correct info. Chris (talk) 21:52, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chris, I'm going to check it right now. I will let you know how I get on with that.Touquedillon (talk) 22:16, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Im sorry, it was a unforgivable mistake...Touquedillon (talk) 22:27, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ludwig Bieringer has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.geocities.com/~orion47/WEHRMACHT/HEER/Generalmajor/BIERINGER_LUDWIG.html.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 22:43, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The external link that i added, is on my list of sources potentially "exploitable". If you remove this link, how to indicate the source of this article? Could you please check this IP adress (Special:Contributions/69.181.249.92) . Thank you. Touquedillon (talk) 22:55, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed this link with a model [http:*.html "*"]. *. {{cite web}}: Check |url= value (help). I hope it's clear and accurate enough Touquedillon (talk) 23:29, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
