It's pretty well-written on the clause level. However, two issues emerge to me from my reading of the first part: (1) some things are taken for granted and may not be understood by readers (because you're very close to the topic); and (2) there's a lot of humdrum information about dates of performances and what it was paired with, when, before we come to the interesting stuff. I wonder whether it would work to push those details further down (below "Themes"?) and just summarise that information in a few sentences in the lead. Possibly the cast might go further down, too.

A few things from the top:

• The Little Theatre comes out of the blue in the lead: the readers will have to wait until the main text to find out why it gave Fielding those advantages? Perhaps "The blah and blah [qualities] of the Little Theatre—the venue for the play—allowed him to experiment ...".
• "... was a critical success", but then we're told it was largely ignored by theatre critics for hundreds of years? Seems contradictory, so perhaps a change of wording to remove the tension? And "its effect on Fielding's career" ... positive effect? I guess it's clear from the previous statements in the lead, though.
• "the focus on turning a profit and the debasing of the literary public with new genres"—that making a profit from theatre was satirisable might not be clear to a 21st-century reader. I wonder why new genres might debase the public ... perhaps that, too, needs to be placed in context.
• advertisements ... advertised ... advertisement. Can the first be "notices"?
• "highER ticket prices" ... just "high" is comparative enough? Otherwise, I'm wondering whether it's higher than something specific, such as the immediately preceding play.... And perhaps "suggesting that much public interest in seeing the play was anticipated".
• "after it was revived"—sorry, I'm getting lost: which one is "it"? Tony (talk) 08:09, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Actually that's one of the reasons I put the link in there The union Ave was actually a pretty baad place to be, it was the location of the Hanging Tree, Bars and Whorehouses. I'm trying to make sure the local lore is in there as long as I can find sourcing. [[1]] is not original research but It might help to find some more references. I copyedited the refs and added more to the lead, such as BD/DVD release info, and updated the image (hope you don't mind); you can change it back to the original Japanese release if you want. I can't do the directors. The names listed on the official websites are not all the directors that were credited in the credits of the episodes themselves. I'm not sure we could do it from taking them from the episode credits, but even if we could, that's a lot of extra work, and a lot of FLs don't supply the animation directors anyway, so I don't think they're essential.--十八 08:02, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

The Author's Farce

If I may make a suggestion, I think a little light pruning is needed before another FAC. Ottava had a tendency to overegg the pudding slightly, and one of the points that Moni3 made was quite telling; if a contemporary reader can't relate to some of the allusions, then really, what's their purpose? If they need copious notes to explain, then are they really all that helpful or relevant? Reading through the article again, in parts I'm reminded more of a PhD thesis than I am of an encyclopedia article trying to explain the play to a 20th-century audience. That's not quite an error. On my screen, even with whitespaces, it shows up like this. Any article with an infobox will run this risk; the best you can do against it is inserting a {{-}} after the section in question.
