RE: Possible Malware Link[edit]

Hi,

Thanks for your message. I cannot be sure that the link I clicked on was what caused my computer to behave erratically. What I can say is, when I perfromed several virus/malware checks later on, I found one result. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware gave me a Trojan alert, and when I located the file in Windows Explorer, WE was telling me that the file had arrived at 18:20. This is between the time I first clicked on the link and the time I posted the warning to everyone - you can see the post for the actual times. Whether it was related or not, I cannot be sure, but what I can be sure of is, I had only been on my usual browsing sites during this time (e.g. Wikipedia, BBC News, etc.) and had not browsed into a site I would consider untrustworthy.

To me, it seems I got the virus from that site, though I cannot be 100% certain, and I cannot prove it (I don't know how to, short of going back to the site in question).
