Friendly (I hope) advice[edit]

Hi there. Most editors here are volunteers, and we welcome your help with improving articles. Over the last 20 years or so, we have evolved some rules. Some rules are imposed on us by the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF), who owns and operates the web site and is legally responsible for it. One of their rules is summarized as "no legal threats". I do not believe you intended to make any such threat, but you used the trigger words "legal" and "libelous", so I wanted to alert you to the policy at Wikipedia:No legal threats. Basically, you may choose to work collaboratively with us volunteers, or you can bring in the lawyers, but not both. The instant any volunteer sees what is perceived to be a legal threat, we have no choice except to block you from editing. We are not lawyers, so WMF must become involved and all subsequent interaction must be through the lawyers. Please feel free to argue forcefully for your position, but please avoid any inadvertent appearance of a legal threat.

With respect to the article in question, please work with other interested editors by discussing your concerns on the article's talk page. -Arch dude (talk) 18:42, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

February 2024[edit]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username , Trovatore1, appears to be too similar to the username of another Wikipedia account.

New accounts are blocked if their username is too similar to the username of another account. This is done in order to prevent confusion, impersonation, or abuse. This block is not meant to punish you, nor is it meant to imply or accuse you of any wrongdoing.

You are welcome to create a new account with a username that is more easily distinguishable, or if you'd rather continue using this account, request a username change by:

  1. Clicking on "Edit" in order to modify this page.
  2. Adding {{unblock-un|user=your new username here|reason=your reason here}} to the bottom of your talk page.
  3. Replacing "your new username here" with the username you'd like to be changed to, and replacing "your reason here" with any information that you'd like to provide to the reviewing administrator.
  4. Clicking on "Publish changes".
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|Your reason here}}. However, it is recommended that you review and understand Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks first.

Thank you.
