Eurozone[edit]

Hello Tugaworld. I have reverted your move of Eurozone to "Euro Area". On Wikipedia, the common name in English of the subject of an article prevails over its official name (that is why we have Portugal and not the "Portuguese Republic"). Polícia Judiciária[edit]

Hi. You recently reverted my removal of this piece of text from the article on the Polícia Judiciária:

"The crime fighting work performed by the Polícia Judiciária is widely regarded as one of the most effective and beneficial of the Portuguese law enforcement system and is regularly showed in the Portuguese media. Major drug trafficking combat operations are often reported in the main Portuguese television networks and other media, as well as the dismantling of organized crime groups linked with corruption, burglary, robbery, forgery and other crimes."

Unfortunately, while this may be true, it is not suitable for inclusion on Wikipedia, as you have not referenced any independent works. For example, to support the theory that the Polícia Judiciária is highly effective, you should include a reference to an article from a reliable newspaper that includes statistics showing the comparitively high rate of solved crimes in Portugal. Due to the potential for bias, the newspaper should not be either British or Portuguese.

I also corrected several spelling and grammatical errors on the page, which you also reverted.

Portugal…[edit]

Can you find me another article about an European country including a random list of international rankings at the bottom of the page? For the science and technology section, perhaps that one can be left outside of the economy section, but in the future, if you have other similar issues: don't just revert everything expecting that people will understand you. Instead, you should state your reasons entirely and all at once, to avoid that every time someone changes something you will revert back for some other reason you didn't think of before.--Le Petit Modificateur Laborieux (talk) 12:29, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
