Another genetic study[edit]

Another - non-fishy ! - study of your concern tends to be this one :Iran: Tricontinental Nexus for Y-Chromosome Driven Migration , that shows the Persian speaking population of Isfahan are more closer to Azeri people of Az.republic in Caucuses and this connection is stronger than connection of Turkey to Az.republic ( Page 140 or Figure 4 )--Alborz Fallah (talk) 08:14, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the study. I have read it and I am very surprised surprised. I found this very peculiar as I did not expect a providential capital that is within central Iran to have any but the remotest connections to Azeri Turks in the Caucuses or Anatolian Turks. Thank you for sheding light on to this, it turns out the Turkic influence is greater then I thought it to be. Thank you.Tugrulirmak (talk) 08:29, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article also explains the probable cause of this connection .In brief it says the migration of humans was more possible in the way of Iran-Turkey , comparing to Iran-Pakistan because two large deserts in East and central Iranian basin limits the immigration . Anyway that shows the factor of language is not so important in grouping the humans in genetic aspect : that means a Turkic language of Turkey may be more near in genetic to a northern Iranian with Gillak or Persian language and an Azeri from Az.republic with Turkic language may be more near to an Armenian or a Persian language from Isfahan . --Alborz Fallah (talk) 08:56, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

Hello! Thanks and greetings (Kusura bakmayın, bu mesajı Türkçe yazdım çünkü Türklerle kendi sayfalarında başka dilde konuşmak anlamsız geliyor.). -F.Mehmet (talk) 10:58, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yok canim ne kusuru. Dediklerinize katiliyorum. Wikipedia tarfsiz olmayan kendi cikarlari icin calisanlarla dolu. Sizin dediginiz olaylara cok rastliyorum, mesela Azerilerin Pers oldugunu soyleyen teoriler. Bunlari yazanlara bakarsak goruyoruz ki adamlar ya Iran'da masters yapmis ya iran kokenli vs vs.Tugrulirmak (talk) 14:34, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I get here to see the answer of my comment .Accidentally I saw that you are informing other editors to participate in certain articles . Just want to mention to be aware of WP:CANVASS , thank you .--Alborz Fallah (talk) 07:19, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can inform other editors to participate in other articles so we can improve the articles nuetrality and the referencing of sources, I see nothing wrong with that. And oh yes, I didn't ask Mr Mehmet anything, he commented on the article before my comment on his talk page, next time please check dates and don't jump at shadows. Thank you.Tugrulirmak (talk) 08:58, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alborz, be sure Tugrul was not doing something wrong. Also, I've been contributing all of Turkic articles since 2006. We talked about wrong things on Wikipedia. Because he was Turkish, there was no need to write my message in English so I wrote it in Turkish. As Wikipedians, our aim is to improve Wikipedia and as Tugrul said, please check when I commented on the talk page of "Iranian Azaris" and when he sent a message to me. Greetings-F.Mehmet (talk) 12:36, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ROC vs. Taiwan[edit]

Hello! I notice this change (you didn't refer to it in your edit summary)

The thing is, on Wikipedia, we refer to the government that controls Taiwan and surrounding countries as the "Republic of China" - that is what it calls itself WhisperToMe (talk) 21:24, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am as worried as you are because I can assure you I did not insert neither Taiwan nor ROC, for it is out of my area of interest and my experience in that subject is releatively low. I belive this was a glitch or something for I did not even scroll down, I only inserted information about US withdrawal, I have no memory of adding anything about Taiwan. Do you know where I can report this glitch? I am deeply sorry for any confusion caused.Tugrulirmak (talk) 06:13, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if it had to do with an edit conflict of some sort.

Hi, Tugrulirmak. Do you know Wikipedia:Requested moves. As long as I know, you didn't use "request moves". Takabeg (talk) 15:02, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello could you take a look at my comment on the discussion regarding usage of phrase Persian Azeri and Azeri Turk in Iranian Azerbaijanis article. I request that you provide the sources that use the phrase Azeri Turk, please comment in the Iranian Azerbaijanis article. Thank you. Neftchi (talk) 09:57, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your quick response. I reviewed the sources and they seem reliable and noteworthy. Since there are no objections to your proposals I believe we have reached a consensus to add Azerbaijani Turks phrase in the lead. Neftchi (talk) 14:49, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could other users check User:MarshallBagramyan expropriation of the entire Kars article.[edit]

Could other users check User:MarshallBagramyan expropriation of the entire Kars article. This user constantly erases the other versions of the name of the city Kars in other languages (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars, Azerbaijani: Qars, Georgian: ყარსი Kars, Kurdish: Qers, Russian: Карс Kars) , and only lets the Armenian version of the name to stay (Armenian: Կարս Kars or Ղարս [ʁɑɾs] Ghars). Unfortunately this user's ethnocentric POV pushing by ignoring the history of the city, after the Armenian era, is still allowed to stay. He even defends it in the city article talk page. Could you follow the Kars article and prevent the constant nationalist POV reversals and editions of User:MarshallBagramyan. Thank you.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.224.30.11 (talk) 00:12, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

These users constantly change the correct article name of Ermenikend into the incorrect name of "Armenikend". Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. I was wondering if you'd be interested in setting up Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Turkey), based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). Now it's not a contest in itself, it's designed to motivate people to inspire others to improve content and build something which demonstrates the hard work going into the country which is visible. The focus is more on quality improvements but new articles are welcome too. Eventually a Turkish National Contest could be created to fuel it, like Wikipedia:Awaken the Dragon, in which contestants can choose to keep the Amazon vouchers themselves to buy their own books for more articles or put them into book fund to help editors further improve Turkish-related topics by giving them the books they want. It will begin though as purely an improvement drive. If interested, or you think anybody else might be interested, alert them and sign up on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey talk page at the bottom. Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:12, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:48, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in three years or more.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Tugrulirmak|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you!
