I am pretty livid. For some reason 'Deb' has taken it upon herself to delete my biography on Wikipedia. This has taken me hours to put together. I am so angry. Please reinstate with immediate effect.

She has also deleted a page called Rebreather Forum 3. This was a key safety meeting about rebreathers. It was convened to keep divers alive by better education. Please reinstate this with immediate effect.

I am so angry that my hours of work have just been removed.

Tumc (talk) 13:35, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't sound livid an hour earlier when you responded to my advice below. However, you should have checked the deletion log and then you would have found that, whereas I deleted it earlier in the day (and you obviously had a backup because you recreated it yourself shortly afterwards), it was later deleted again by another administrator who had similar doubts about its notability.Deb (talk) 16:02, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And when you say my biography, does that mean you wrote an article about yourself? And does it mean you have been using two different login IDs? Deb (talk) 17:50, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Bob Cole (diver and author), by Oli Filth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Bob Cole (diver and author) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Bob Cole (diver and author), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:13, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Sub-Aqua Association[edit]

I have nominated Sub-Aqua Association, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sub-Aqua Association. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. File permission problem with File:Rosemary E Lunn or Roz Lunn.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rosemary E Lunn or Roz Lunn.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

I WRITE TO CONFIM THAT I HAVE SEND AN EMAIL TO 'permissions-en@wikimedia.org RE MY IMAGE TAKEN BY KARL SHREEVES.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:51, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Deb, I am very new to using Wikipedia. I am doing my utmost best to comply and follow the rules and regulations on here. It really is not very easy to use.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rebreather Forum 3 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Acroterion (talk) 13:17, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

August 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.  —SMALLJIM  14:30, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
