"Only warning"[edit]

Hi TurtleAqua, I noticed that you just left multiple "only warning"s on User_talk:170.55.73.230. Just wanted to let you know that in the future, after the fourth level warning is used, you should just report the user to AIV (which I see you've done for this one) and not send any more warnings. Thanks, PopoDameron (talk) 19:17, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And also use normal warning levels unless an only warning is deemed appropriate. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:22, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you and sorry! TurtleAqua (talk) 19:24, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! I've been doing anti-vandalism for a while now (well probably only about a year) so I know what is and isn't appropriate for anti-vandalism efforts. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:29, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi TurtleAqua, thank you for your report at WP:AIV. Could you please take the time to replace your "only warning" messages by a message that explains your concerns? If there's something specific you're criticizing, please point it out to 170.55.73.230. Ideally, a diff link could be provided, but most importantly, someone needs to take the time to explain the issue. Repeatedly stating that there is an issue doesn't by itself decrease the probability of it occurring again. I guess it's not even vandalism (intentional damage) but rather disruptive editing. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:55, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You need to present those to the IP and replace your only warnings with messages that explain what they did wrong. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:01, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
