Late Welcome[edit]

Hi, Twile, Late welcome to Wikipedia!

I'm sure you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

Happy Wiki-ing, and sorry for the late welcome ;)

Hi[edit]

I removed the Homeworld Reference because there was no link or where it leads to there was no information in *Homeworld Historical and Technical Briefing (Manual). Go ahead and explain what is it use for. Then i will undo the delete. --SkyWalker 21:30, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me what the reference is for?. There is no need for it. --SkyWalker 21:30, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added your reference have fun. --SkyWalker 22:05, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ships[edit]

Rather than create a separate article for each ship, can't this information be combined into a single ship-list article that includes a table of attributes? Not only with this reduce the number of individual articles, but it will also provide the user with a quick comparison list that allows them to instantly evaluate two (or more) ships together. Rklawton 17:17, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Impressed[edit]

  • Regarding the Homeworld ships AFD - I just wanted to say that I'm impressed with your ability to compromise and willingness to revise your ideas based on the input of others. There can never be enough of that on Wikipedia. Best of luck with future endeavours! Wickethewok 05:32, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I wish I had more kind words to say, but I must say I'm rather put off and disgusted at how much delight you and others seem to extract from the deletion of articles, especially "cruft". Speaking from personal experience, it doesn't feel nice when you dedicate 5 or 6 hours a day for a week or two to a handful of articles, trying to get them to conform to the manual of style, spell and grammar check, make sure information is accurate, and try to make the information readable, understandable, and professional sounding... only to have some people mass-nominate your stuff for deletion on the basis of it being cruft or otherwise unsuitable for Wikipedia. It seems like people who are keen on deleting it should be appologetic ("I'm sorry, but I'm just following the rules, just doing my job") to those who donated time and effort to Wikipedia, and try to revise and improve the articles in question before trying to delete them. Quite the opposite, people seem to delight in calling things cruft and trying to get them deleted. You got a barnstar for helping to delete an article? I'm a decent person so I'll follow the rules on here. Maybe next time you want to "clean up" Wikipedia and scrub the cruft off of the internet, you should browse through WP:Assume good faith first and pretend you don't enjoy it as much as you do. --Twile 16:44, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kharak.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid.
