Proposed deletion of The National Locksmith Certification Program[edit]

Nomination of The National Locksmith Certification Program for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The National Locksmith Certification Program is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The National Locksmith Certification Program until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with The National Locksmith Certification Program. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. The instructions told me that if I didn't want it deleted I had to remove the notice, which I did. What exactly are you disputing? Are you suggesting that I wait until a 3rd party verifies it by creating an article similar to my own? TylerJThomas87 (talk) 00:22, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The instructions say "Feel free to edit the article, but the article must not be blanked, and this notice must not be removed, until the discussion is closed." (emphasis in the original). I'm not sure how much clearer they can be. The dispute is laid out, I hope clearly, in the AfD nomination, which you have already found. I suggest you read WP:V which is WIkipedia's core policy on verifiability. You should also read WP:N which describes how Wikipedia editors decide is a subject is notable enough to have an article written about it. Sparthorse, I'm guessing he confused the original PROD and the AfD, and thought instructions for one applied for the other.

Tyler: the first time, the deletion was proposed, which is not binding (so you can remove the notice, as you did). Once you did that however, a second process was initiated, called Articles for deletion; in this process editors will discuss the matter for 7 days to decide whether or not the article should be kept. I assume you are asking if I will block you if you continue to disrupt Wikipedia? The answer is no. I am not an administrator.
