Deletion of categories[edit]

Hi, GMc. You've twice deleted "Category:BBC television programmes" and "Category:ITV television programmes" from the template's documentation subpage without stating any reason why in your edit summary or here on the talk page. I've restored the categories twice as they seem perfectly relevant. University Challenge was previously broadcast on ITV and is now shown on BBC2. Instead of just deleting the categories again, it would be appreciated if you would explain here why you feel the categories are unsuitable. Hi Jacklee. Sorry, I always forget to use the Edit summary. The reason I removed the categories is that this: User:UBX/University Challenge is coming up in the Category for ITV television programmes, when it should just be University Challenge that appears. Does that make any sense? LOL.

Well, is there really a problem with the userbox showing up in the category? It is a template that is related to the category. One solution may be to create new categories "Category:BBC television programmes templates" and "Category:ITV television programmes templates" for the userbox, but personally I think this is unnecessary. — Cheers, JackLee ^–talk– 03:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
