Gendering[edit]

To a potential editor: I made the non-gendering of this node intentional, so please don't remove it if you just want specific same sex marriage templates. {{User:UBX/samesexmarriedfemale}} and {{User:UBX/samesexmarriedmale}} should do fine for that, I hope!

Basically I did it this way because I figured that some people may not feel comfortable fitting into a perfect gender binary, so there may be more than just male and female same-sex couples. Flexibility is good!

Married Wikipedians Category[edit]

User:Silence, please don't remove the Married Wikipedians category from these boxes. Users in same-sex marriages, such as myself, are in valid marriages and deserve to be included right along side other wikipedians. We're not pariahs and I would please ask personally to be treated the same as everyone else, which I think extends into making these userboxes link into the main married category. ♥ GeekGirlSarah ♥ 21:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
