A tag has been placed on 2009–10 UAE Second Division, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Article format

Please try to include information in the UAE Second Division article first rather than creating very short unreferenced new articles for individual seasons. Polargeo (talk) 10:01, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 15:45, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Please don't add spaces before and after an endash ("–") such as "5 – 1" as stated in WP:ENDASH. Thanks. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 16:12, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Why did you remove the fixtures for the Qualifying group stage section? The fixtures listed is the correct order which is in accordance with the rules and regulation of the qualification. And why did you also remove the categories? Those are legitimate categories as there has been or will be a fixture played in each of the countries for the respective categories which I have put. The reason why I said that is because you put the woman's teams instead of the men's, then you undid my edit and then you did it youself. I hope that gives you a reason. Wifishark (talk) 15:25, 6 March 2011 (UTC−05)

File source problem with File:Annakuliyeva.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Annakuliyeva.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:27, 12 March 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 20:27, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Youssef Msakni. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The appropriate section is WP:ENDASH. 11:16, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 12:08, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
The reason why "1 – 1" is not allowed is stated in WP:ENDASH. There is no exception to this rule unless there is a good reason (there is none) to do so. Please read that on why I shall keep on reverting edits that reintroduce that format. Thanks. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 19:36, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

The article Youssef Msakni has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hey, why did you undid the change i did to the Official section? The other revision looks horrible and in a table it´s better formatted. Kante4 (talk) 13:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 17:59, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Arab Youth Championship

Your doing some great work here, but in the future please try to discuss things before just re-directing pages. I'm trying to be fair here to open up a discussion about the name but you just avoid it and do what you like. Please take others into consideration and lets work as a team. Druryfire (talk) 20:16, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi there. Two points that will make your life easier in the future.

  1. If you have a source, cite it. Don't give it in an edit summary. Verification requires a source in the article itself.
  2. The article and the infobox should match. There is no point in editing the infobox, and leaving the article wrong. In a day or two some editor will notice the discrepancy, but since you don't give a source, will always revert you.

I hope this helps you. Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 20:15, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Syria

There's a slight difference between a claim in a Syrian newspaper and FIFA actually confirming this. I don't think you should be editting this stuff until you get something official. Also - it wouldn't change the seeding - Syria were still in the draw, they are just subsequently replaced Jlsa (talk) 13:41, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

It is showing up on this page but not anywhere else. The problem is that some of the "match report" stuff by federations has been outsourced in recent years. It is possible that someone external to FIFA have editted that page based on what they have read here on wikipedia (or elsewhere) rather than it being confirmed by FIFA. This has happened a couple of times with CONCACAF Jlsa (talk) 13:57, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Estádio Nacional do Chiazi.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Estádio Nacional do Chiazi.jpg, which you've sourced to /www.fussballtempel.net. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MilborneOne (talk) 20:31, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
