Carl Freer[edit]

Thank you for the comment regarding my edits to Carl Freer. There seems to be quite a bit of bias towards Carl Freer, Stefan Eriksson, Tiger Telematics, and Gizmundo. While I do not care about companies, I do care about BLPs being used to discredit someone. Much of the information in the article was taken from unreliable sources. So, I will honor your request to not remove “accepted and property sourced” material. However, I will continue to remove material that violates BLP guidelines. The three core content policies for biographies are as follows:

1. Must be written from a neutral point of view 2. Content must be verifiable, allowing people to see the information in a reliable source used in the article 3. Contain no original research.

So, I will refrain from removing well-sourced information as long as it is taken from a reliable source and does not violate BLP on being neutral. The 4 articles I mentioned above are heavily weighted against 2 individuals. The majority of the sources used are not from reliable sources or come from original research. As such, I have removed them.

I would ask that if you plan to edit any of these articles, that you proof your work. When you added information back to the article on Carl Freer, you duplicated information about a RICO. This means that you either did not check your work or you have a heavy bias against this individual and thought that putting it in 2 times would prove a point. “The burden of evidence for any edit on Wikipedia rests with the person who adds or restores material.” I have made edit comments supporting policy reasons for all of my removals and additions. Please familiarize yourself with BLP guidelines prior to making any additional edits to any of the above mentioned articles. Also, WP:DUE comes into play a great deal with biographies and I would ask that you keep this in mind when making any of these edits. Finally, it looks like there has been a back and forth issue on all of these articles between people trying to introduce heavily weighted negative information and those who are trying to whitewash these articles. The information is what it is, but needs to be written from reliable sources and weighted accordingly. The talk page appears to be full of single purpose accounts or people using duplicate accounts to try to prove a point.

I have made a report with the BLP noticeboard and Neutral noticeboard and have indicated so at the top of the articles for Freer and Eriksson. If you do not like the Wikipedia guidelines on BLP, please discuss them there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JakenBox (talkcontribs) 03:21, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the edit comments. There is no frustration from me. In fact, your persistence in adding content to a BLP article in violation of BLP guidelines interests me quite a bit. For some reason, you show little interest in the other 3 articles involving this subject, yet continue to add information to the article for Freer that is unsourced. From your own comments on the edit history of the article for Dinesh D’Souza and Francis Parker Yockey, you are aware that unsourced material in BLP articles is not allowed nor is adding information that is not what the sources say, yet you continue to do so. I realize that you may have an axe to grind with this guy, but Wikipedia is not to be used as a platform for doing such. I won’t put it all on you as there are a few editors who came out of the woodwork to leave half-hearted “keep” comments during the deletion discussion, yet I will let you know that further persistence to add unsouced material will result in me reporting you to the administrator noticeboard. I would have done so already, but I saw that I must try to discuss the information with you first. I have tried to do so on the talk page, the BLP noticeboard, and your own talk page. However, you persist in adding the content that is being challenged. If you have a reliable source that has the information you want to put in the text, then by all means do so if it is weighted properly --JakenBox (talk) 16:31, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What are all these left-field references to edits I made on other pages? I have no interest in continuing this discussion with you if you cannot stay on topic. Universaladdress (talk) 06:40, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
