EpicaGroupShot Live 2007.JPG[edit]

Hello. Image:EpicaGroupShot Live 2007.JPG has been moved from Wikipedia here to Wikimedia Commons, or "transwikied" as they say. When that happens we delete the original copy here under WP:CSD#I8, unless the uploader has asked not to. If you want the copy here to be undeleted, that's no problem. But I'm a bit puzzled about the "obscured information that should be more clearly visible". Can you explain a bit more? If you want the original image undeleted, let me know and I'll do that. All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 09:32, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's undeleted now. It may be worth marking your other uploaded pics to say that you don't want them deleted under CSD I8. But if any do get deleted, let me know and I will undelete them. Regards, Angus McLellan (Talk) 15:26, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I will and thank you very much, item resolved. UnlivedPhalanx (talk) 15:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving talk pages[edit]

Usually we wait until they are big, and Talk:Kamelot is not so huge yet. But no reason not to do it. It's a bit long-winded, but there is a description at Help:Archiving a talk page. If that doesn't make much sense, let me know and I can do it. Cheers, Angus McLellan (Talk) 16:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Help!![edit]

You're quite welcome. Feel free to hit me up on my talk anytime if you've got a problem. Or just ask our myriad administrators, who know Wikipedia from the inside out and would be glad to help you! PS: It would be helpful if you link to your archive. Like, just stick /Archive 1 (edit this page to see the code) at the top of your page, or swipe the archive box from my page. 21655 ωhατ δo γoυ ωαητ? 16:51, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kmiworld[edit]

Hello. I'll have a word with Kmiworld (talk · contribs) as he seems a bit confused about things. Hopefully that will sort things out. I'll let you know how it goes. Best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:00, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:TomYoungblood live2007.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TomYoungblood live2007.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 23:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, everything seems fine. It wasn't made clear that you were the copyright holder. Please note that the CC license you have selected for the file is far more open than just allowing Wikipedia to use it- others are allowed to use the file, and do not need your permission, but they do need to credit you. If an image is just free for Wikipedia to use, it is not considered free enough. J Milburn (talk) 09:36, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:RetroStudios Exterior 07.JPG[edit]

File:RetroStudios Exterior 07.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Retro Studios exterior.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Retro Studios exterior.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:34, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
