Welcome![edit]

Hello, User1249, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Your draft[edit]

I moved your draft back to your sandbox because it isn't ready for mainspace yet.

The first issue is that your draft doesn't have any independent sources. They come from profiles on her employer's website, the website of the organisation she ran, and some blurbs that are the sort of thing you usually submit yourself.

The second issue is that there's just too little information in the article. Everything but the fact that she was the APA president is routine - if that was all she had achieved, she wouldn't be notable enough to have a Wikipedia biography. The fact that she was elected president of APA makes it clear that she has non-routine achievements, but these achievements aren't covered at all in the article. I've linked to the "Biographies" handout for more details about the normal layout for an article about a person.

Finally, the list of achievements and awards don't include enough information for the reader to understand what they are. Bullet points are useful reminders when you already know what's going on, but they aren't much use to someone who doesn't. You should use paragraphs to talk about her achievements, and link to the achievements. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:58, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
