Hey, welcome to wiki! You might be interested to look at the above, if you have not noticed it yet! ;)--Huaiwei 08:48, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, I've been not-so-active for quite some time doing minor edits. Didn't even know a SG group existed, haha.

Haha....it seems quite hidden thats why. Few would know its there until they actually know its there....er....am I making sence? :D --Huaiwei 11:34, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Yep I get what you're saying. I only found out the group thingy through a search on d&d alignments... haha. H.Mib 20:00, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
d&d alignments? Whats that? :D --Huaiwei 01:08, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Alignment (role-playing games) Oops don't know how to link to a specific article in the disambiguation page. under roleplaying games. hobby of mine. H.Mib 01:15, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Oh I edited your link above to show you how to link to a specific article..just use the page title! :D But I still dunno why would that page lead you to finding the sg group page leh? (scratch head). :D--Huaiwei 15:10, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Haha thanks, I've figured that out on my own. Not really a newbie anymore :D I wasn't really aware of the fact that there were 'wikipedian groups', so when I found that by accident I did a search for other groups. Hmib 15:15, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
You are most welcome, and yeah, I am a newbie too. ;) Looking forward to more of your edits! :D --Huaiwei 15:28, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

VFD[edit]

When you put something on VFD you have to do 3 things: put the vfd notice on the article, fill out the vfd saying why you think it should be included, and then put the template link on the vfd page for that day. You only did the first one on Patterson Outdoor Advertising CryptoDerk 03:51, May 25, 2005 (UTC)

I know that, but when I tried to put the vfd on the article it showed up as already been deleted, so I figured someone else just did the deletion without the vfd. Thanks anyway. -Hmib 04:08, 25 May 2005 (UTC)

WWII[edit]

Hello, it's me. I think you need to learn history, so try to leave from "popularized" history. Fortunately for you, I'm very familiar with the story how WWII was terminated. I want to know how much you know. Please do not disappoint me by saying the Emperor, Hirohito, was an axis of evil and controlled everything. Watch History Channel. I saw they broadcasted the good program why Japanese imperialism caused problems. This is your homework. Don't worry, I'm not gonna argue with this (at least as of now) so take your time and learn.--Flowerofchivalry 09:52, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

My God. I hardly think I am the one who needs to learn history. Your tone is overtly hostile and mocking, so please show a little respect for me, at least on my talk page.

As for the specific conduct of Hirohitler, I won't go into a lengthy retort, but you, sir, are truly narrow-minded if you think YOUR version of history is the only truthful one, especially one so extremist. People hate neo-nazis and holocaust deniers for a reason, you know.

And believe me, I watch History Channel much more than you. ;) -Hmib 15:05, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hmib, give my rookie efforts some time...Wo shi ge hen wei xian de ren!

And Hey, flowerboy. Please watch this show: http://dsc.discovery.com/schedule/series.jsp?series=24733&gid=0&channel=DSC

By the way, tulips, I'd be more apt to listen to your extremist propoganda if all the "proof" that you offer weren't all in Japanese, which when I last checked, out of everyone who has been in the WWII debates, only you speak. Have you ever considered the fact that the sources you cite are only in one language because no one outside of Japan shares those opinions? Your language is spoken in one country, and thus it is useless anywhere else. As for why your interpretations of history are different than the rest of the world's...here's a hint: maybe it is because Japan fabricates the history it teaches its people and produces holocaust-deniers whose bigoted opinions are not respected by anyone on Wikipedia. Have a nice day, dandelion. -Shenzhou 11:23, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Hey I don't want this crap here on my talkpage... please tell it to him, not me. :D -Hmib 18:57, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Please cease making edits and reverts to my edits on BloodRayne for right now. I have opened a discussion on the Talk:BloodRayne talk page. Please leave comments about these edits and reverts there so they can be openly discussed with other Wikipedians to resolve this issue. Thank you. User:151.198.148.97 16:25, 20 June 2005 (UTC).

I've replaced the dead link, the link now points to a page that actually shows some titties. I think this issue should be resolved, no? -Hmib 19:40, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi, since you've made the acquaintance of the charming Mr Flower, I was hoping you could weigh in on Iris Chang. As you've noticed, he doesn't respond well on talk pages, but help removing his crap from the article would be appreciated. Mark1 05:23, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hmib, I'm glad if you join us. Mark is keep ignoring talk pages. I do my best to keep our Wikipedia the best place while Mark is trying to mess up. Come and join us! --Flowerofchivalry 05:39, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the message. I think we should ask him exactly what he wants to achieve in those articles. Ask him for evidence and proofs (not from right-wing websites). Meanwhile, if he continues to make controversial edits at Iris Chang, get some sysop to lock the article until the issue is resolved. It helps if more neutrals is involved in the article. Get as many views against his POV as possible in the talk page - he will relent if the dissenting voices accumulate. If not, our only recourse is a RfC. Mandel 03:14, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)

Re : Your userpage layout[edit]

Hi Hmib,

No problem! :) In fact you are the third person to copy my template layout. Feel free to modify it to your needs, after all that's the concept of a Wiki! ;)

Re : Iris Chang[edit]

Hi Hmib,

Protected as requested, but incidentally it appears that you have also violated the Three-revert Rule. (4th reversion 16:21, 24 Jun 2005). Please take note, and be careful next time. Violation of the 3RR makes you liable for blocking by any sysop for up to 24 hours, even if the other party has violated it. (Quote : In the cases where multiple parties violate the rule, administrators should treat all sides equally.)

- Best regards, Mailer Diablo 08:50, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hmib,

OK, I hope you sort this out soon. To be honest I'm not sure you will resolve this perfectly. You'll either have to resign yourself to constantly editing it, or keeping it locked - the internet trolls will never go away.

Cheers, mate. John Smith's 12.30, 24th June 2005 (DST)

possible vandal case[edit]

You, Hmib, wrote I, Flowerofchivalry, am a neo-nazi holocaust viewer at Talk:Japanese war crimes. I take this as a personal attack against me, because I have never made such statement. I will be forced to take further action, but since you have made certain contributions at other pages, so I will overlook this case this time if and only if you 1)withdraw your statement stated above, 2)promise do not assault anyone at Wikipedia, and 3)officially apology me about your wrongdoing stated above at User:Hmib by 14:00 June 25th, 2005 (PDT). --Flowerofchivalry 21:26, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

We have a saying in Chinese, 恶人先告状. Meaning, the evil men complain first. Now how about YOU officially apologize to the many people you have insulted, promise to learn etiquette, and behave civilized, then WE'll overlook it. -Hmib 21:44, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

On the RfC[edit]

Hi Hmib. I'm ill, and I won't stay long on Wikipedia, but I had a look at the RfC. You're too worked up. Keep cool, write the RfC in a less impassioned tone, and maybe get Mark to endorse the statement. I don't agree with everything you mention there, partly because I'm more immune to name-callings, but I agree that he has a serious POV problem that need to be looked upon. The RfC need to be less subjective. I probably won't be online for some time. Mandel 17:05, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)

I've dropped a note on Mark's talkpage. Hopefully, you guys can have some sort of a peaceful settlement on this matter. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 17:24, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Flowerofchivalry[edit]

Hi Hmib, thanks for your note. I unblocked FoC early until we get this sorted out. Could you do me a favor please, and e-mail me from an address that will show your IP address? I'm having to assume good faith on both sides at present, but we ought to try to get to the bottom of it, as it's been going on for some time. You can use the link on my user page to e-mail me. Cheers, SlimVirgin (talk) 20:00, July 12, 2005 (UTC)

Hi again, I responded to your e-mail but haven't heard back from you, so let me know that you received it okay. Cheers, SlimVirgin (talk) 23:46, July 12, 2005 (UTC)
Got it, thanks, and I've e-mailed one more question. SlimVirgin (talk) 01:58, July 13, 2005 (UTC)

No fight here[edit]

To be honest, I am also somewhat surprised that FoC resorted to this underhanded tactic... a second time. What I'm even more surprised of, Pedant, is that you casually dismiss the possibility that FoC committed this offense and blame it on me without a single scrap of evidence... from your English skills I'm confident you're not FoC's sockpuppet or anything, but please take a look at his track record first before accusing others. You might know him from real life or whatnot, but please approach this objectively. Thanks

I'm not casually dimissing anything, I'm just asking. Look on 'Flower's talk page and you can see what I said to him. Everything I'm doing is fully right out in the open. As 'Flower' s advocate, of course I need to be open to the possibility that he's not a total liar and that there's some valid reason for any of his behavior. I have to entertain that possibility. I'd be just as openminded as your advocate, and since I did make my offer of help on the talk page of an article you were actively discussing, you yourself could have accepted my offer, and just said, "yeah, help me convince this guy of such and such so I don't have to continue this feud forever" or whatever.

Please pay a little more respect to the possibility that I am acting in good faith. You will agree I am sure that it "actually is possible" that someone is attempting to make flower look bad by making him seem to be using an underhanded tactic. You have the luxury of knowing that if someone did, then it wasn't you. I don't. (I don't know him in real life, by the way, you probably are closer to him than I am, you hang out together a lot, you collaborate on a lot of the same articles) I know it wasn't me, and that Flower hasn't admitted that it's him. And that you have implied that it wasn't you, which I take as being that you deny it. I certainly haven't ever accused you of anything, have I? I haven't voted on the RfC. I haven't edited any of the articles in question. I'm totally acting in good faith, I'm sure you understand what I'm saying and that there will be no more nonsense about me 'blaming you' or any such unpleasantness. By the way why is it you and Flower can't hammer out an article that you both can be happy with? What's the big thing that stands in the way of that? Can't you sort of merge your articles, and create a version that represents both viewpoints? Because, really, I sense that that would be pretty simple if you both really worked on it like colleagues instead of opponents.Pedant 08:19, 2005 July 13 (UTC)

I am confident that you are acting in good faith, but over the weeks that confidence in FoC has diminished. I'm aware that you are a third party, but this is not a lawsuit and you should examine your advocatee's action as well. I'm afraid that FoC is playing you like a fool. if the anon IPs do indeed turn out to be him, then it says volumes about FoC's trustworthiness and good faith.
As for why FoC and I "can't hammer out an article that you both can be happy with?", I',m sure that if you look at the entire conflict you will see that FoC is drastically changing everything to his unsupported version without much prior discussion. Take for example Nanjing Safety Zone. When I first created the article based on the zh version and my own research, FoC immediately changed it to his version without prior discussion. I questioned his edit, and he shot back a load of incomprehensible jumble that does not answer the question at all. About a week later I took the initiative to sort out the mess on that page, and note, I did not delete any of FoC's "[sic]scholars who decline Nanjing" rant, but grouped them nicely to the bottom of the page, stating that an extremely small minority hold that view. Without any discussion he reverted back to his own Engrish-riddled (pun intended) page. I modified the article to "represents both viewpoints", as you say, but what is the outcome of that? Revert war and page being locked. And Pedant, both FoC and you seem to be confused about "POVs" and "facts". If I go to the page on Heliocentricity and state that: "I believe that the heliocentric model is wrong, the earth is the center of the universe", how long would that revert last? FoC's edits are no better, only better disguised. -Hmib 18:23, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
I just discovered another option against persistent POV-pushers:Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration. You may want to look into that. An important guideline FoC appears to have violated is Wikipedia:Reliable sources Mandel 13:02, July 20, 2005 (UTC)
I don't think we should take arbitration now, since the RfC is still on. Furthermore, arbitration should be taken as a last option. Mandel 07:20, July 21, 2005 (UTC)

Umm...I think I have to take a Wikivacation, probably for a week or two. After being exposed to some very impolite and uncivil politicking (not FoC), I'm wondering whether I've spent too much of my time on this encyclopedia. Some of the in-fighting is getting ludicrous. So I'll retire for a time and get on with real life. Please keep the Nanking article for trolling and POV attacks. Thanks. Mandel 16:42, July 28, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Hmib. I think it's safe to say that the RfC is doing little or nothing to resolve this lovely conflict. I seriously think one of the admins needs to get involved here, but AFAIK (I haven't been involved in any Wikipedia politics until now), they're supposed to be last resort...but how exactly do you argue with someone who claims NPOV and yet does not believe Nanjing took place? Certainly it's possible, but it raises serious issues, just like a Holocaust denier writing an authoritative book on the issue. -- Xanadu 19:32, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

I've tried to add a list of the claims that FoC has made in the Discussion part of the RfC in hopes of consolidating the major issues that are being disputed. However, I have limited hopes that will do anything (other then ignite another redundant thread in the RfC), I think it may be time for arbitration...as I cannot see FoC as being very willing to make any sort of concession, even as minimal as mentioning Tanaka's controversial status. -- Xanadu 05:54, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

Well, the reason why I'm a little bit into a administrative decision is that someone needs to unprotect Nanjing Safety Zone or should I just talk to an admin about that? -- Xanadu 06:40, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

Devil's advocate[edit]

It's decent of you to make alternative suggestions. Yes, it's possible. At the moment, anything is. Will keep you posted. SlimVirgin (talk) 18:43, July 13, 2005 (UTC)

I'm wondering...is original research allowed at Wikipedia? and other language versions are always true? If so, I'm going to translate from Japanese pages to solve the conflict.--Flowerofchivalry 19:15, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

Chemistry Homework[edit]

CaF2·3Ca3(PO4)2 + H2SO4(aq) → H3PO4(aq) + HF + CaSO4·2H2O

This is an easy problem with one little trick. Assume the number of F+ is 2X and substitute all coefficients with X.

The above equation become balanced except for H2O. Why???...

Well, that's aq solution. Water is everywhere.

Pic Anschluss[edit]

Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights - for fairuse or undeteriminble copyrights you have to give a source (i.e. for instance a link to the site where you found the pic) in order to conform with wikipedia's copyright policy. In addition: this pic was clearly made 1938, according to both Austrian and German law the copyright period is 70 years after death of the photographer - if the photographer cannot be determined the copyright period is still 70 years from the day the photo was shot - hence at in any case it runs until 2008. Naturally, all this does not apply if the photo was released into public use etc. - if so good. In any other case, please conform with the policy, thx. Themanwithoutapast 12:15, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

Username[edit]

Thanks for your uh, interesting albeit random comment about my username. At first I thought this was a case of "狗拿耗子," if you get what I mean, but I see your point. I guess I'd better be good and not give anybody any reason to quote or contact me. 卫weizhe哲 10:06, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

Ok, not only will I not do anything bad, I'll also avoid doing anything excellent enough to deserve recognition of any sort. As for my 中文水平, trust me, it's a 1. Unfortunately, the knowledge of a few 歇后语 won't help me write a Wikipedia article anytime soon, I've only been studying Chinese for two years, and I'm not very smart; combined, these three facts basically dictate that my input on the Chinese Wikipedia is extremely limited. I created 杜克大学 (really short article so far) if you want to check the grammar for me :-). I'm really not sure why I'm telling you all this... maybe you just seem like a nice person. But yeah, do you make a habit of scanning usernames looking for problematic ones? How did you even come across me? (The preceding questions were rhetorical, no need to respond.) 卫weizhe哲 06:03, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

Star-Spangled Banner vs. Soviet anthem[edit]

You might be right, but the average Internet user is not necessarily all that familiar with the Russian national anthem. I can recall the music from the first line or two, from having heard it played at the Olympic Games now and then, and it *might* fit. How about presenting some reinforcing evidence, i.e. the "meter" of the two songs? Here's another example: "America the Beautiful" and "Auld Lang Syne" are musically interchangeable. The explanation is that they both use "common meter double" or 8-6-8-6-8-6-8-6. That's what the book says, anyway. I don't know from nothin' about this topic, I just know that it works. Do you happen to know, or could find out, what the meter of the American and the Russian anthems are? That would be an interesting bit of trivia to add to the article. =|:)# Wahkeenah 15:35, 5 August 2005 (UTC)

Jews vs. Chinese[edit]

Following up on that excellent joke on the user page, here's one you may or may not have heard, and I forget which Jewish comic told it (maybe more than one):

  • Comic: Two Jews get off a streetcar...
  • Heckler: Hey! Why does it always have to be two Jews? Why not, maybe, two Chinese?
  • Comic: OK, two Chinese get off a streetcar. One turns to the other, and says, "So, tell me, Abe, when is your son's Bar Mitzvah?"

The joke is that it still turns out to be about two Jews. I reckon you had to be there.  :) Wahkeenah 19:44, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

These jokes come with no guarantee or warranty. I would point out that Henny Youngman probably told it better. Wahkeenah 20:43, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

The Four Classics[edit]

I've noticed the tremendous amount of time you've spent in discussions with Flowerofchivalry, and editing in general. I think you're doing a great job!! Wondering how exactly does one "win" a RfC...

Also, where do you live and what parts of China do you know best? I really want to improve articles on Chinese geography, specifically Shanghai and its districts (Zhabei, Pudong, etc.) but I need some help. Also wondering if you know about The Four Classics, as I'm trying to improve that article, but really don't know where to start (I've only read the xiyouji), thanks!!

3RR[edit]

Hi Hmib, FoC has reported you for a 3RR violation at Shintaro Ishihara. I haven't checked it out yet, but at first glance, there seems to have been a lot of reverting on both sides. Regarding your complaints to me about FoC, I'm having trouble determining where the fault lies. For example, you were reverting to a version that contained this: "Ishihara stated he respects the French culture but he just pointed out his ignorance about french mathematicians and his stupidity." This is POV, unencyclopedic, and insulting; and the English is poor and the punctuation is wrong (and not even consistent), so FoC was right to want to get rid of it. Could you briefly explain why you were reverting? SlimVirgin (talk) 20:16, August 21, 2005 (UTC)

SlimVirgin, please look at the talkpage and my RfC page also to find out what he is doing. I'm having very hard time to manage this strong POV pusher because he has never supplied any single sources throughout discussion (well, he did once for out of contect topic but not on main discussion).
--Flowerofchivalry 20:25, 21 August 2005 (UTC)
Hmib, the diff you provided on my talk page [1] shows two identical versions, so I don't know what you mean by saying it's an edit, not a revert. Anyway, I'm concerned more about the overall dispute, so just as an example, could you say why you were defending this edit, and whether you wrote it in the first place: "Ishihara stated he respects the French culture but he just pointed out his ignorance about french mathematicians and his stupidity." Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 21:06, August 21, 2005 (UTC)

I've traced the origin of one of the disputed sentences myself. It seems the problem stems from multiple users whose first language is not English, who don't understand the need for sources, and who can't edit in accordance with WP:NPOV.

  • At 20:18 July 23 Flowerofchivalry (talk · contribs) adds: "Ishihara stated he respects the French culture but he just pointed out the problem of French language." POV, poor English, unsourced, and meaningless: what's the problem with the French language that causes problems for mathematicians? (Some of the world's best mathematicians are French.)
  • At 19:45, August 2, Pixeltoo (talk · contribs), who seems to be French, changes it to: "Ishihara stated he respects the French culture but he just pointed out his ignorance about french mathematicians and his stupidity." POV, poor English, unencyclopedic, insulting, unsourced.
  • At 00:02, August 11, 213.22.56.123 (talk · contribs) changes it to: "Ishihara then apologized by stating his apreciation for the French culture." Unsourced and contains a spelling mistake (possibly just a typo).
  • At 02:15, August 17, User:Hmib reverts to: "Ishihara stated he respects the French culture but he just pointed out his ignorance about french mathematicians and his stupidity." See above.

Perhaps the dispute between FoC and Hmib could be reduced if you were both to supply sources for every edit that's likely to be challenged. Also, please bear in mind that this is the English Wikipedia, and edits must conform to a minimal standard of English. This is especially true when the edits are contentious and are leading to weeks-long edit wars. I'm leaving this on FoC's page too. SlimVirgin (talk) 21:49, August 21, 2005 (UTC)

Nanjing Safety Zone[edit]

Hmib, could you respond on Talk:Nanjing_Safety_Zone#Sources about the need for sources, please? Hopefully, with sources, the dispute may come to an end. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 01:40, August 30, 2005 (UTC)

Gerbillus taxoboxes[edit]

A few of the Gerbillus articles included several extra levels that I chose to drop. Feel free to reinstall them if you see fit. There were about 60 unwikified species articles of members of this genus added and I'm trying to make them all look presentable. Meanwhile I'm currently working on trying to make the muroid rodents category smaller (it was approaching 200 articles) by adding subcategories.

The main issue I had with some of the intermediate taxonomy is twofold. First, Myomorpha is a largely outdated subordinal designation. I know McKenna and Bell (1997) use it, but they are among the few relatively modern texts to do so. Many molecular studies strongly dispute the notion of a clade uniting dormice with the myodonts. Hystricognathi vs. Sciurognathi needs revising, but, ignoring the status of gundis, is overall a more accepted scheme. The taxonomy on our rodent page needs work, but there's no indication that the consensus of wikipedia's authors is to accept Myomorpha as a legitimate suborder. Secondly, although I would prefer an overall mammal taxonomy that includes a subclass Theria and infraclass Eutheria over the taxonomy on the current mammal page, it's a battle I've fought and lost. For whatever reason, wikipedia authors have decided to elevate Eutheria to the level of subclass.

Overall these intermediate higher-level taxonomic ranks are not particularly important to a species-level article. Some have argued they complicate it needlessly. Usually I don't take any action one way or another, but in this case I think they open up debates that should take place at higher taxon articles such as rodent, mammal, or mammal taxonomy. And I disagree with Myomorpha as a suborder of rodents. Anyway, to my knowledge there are no formal rules on it and if you'd like to revert those deletions, I'd be happy to comply. --Aranae 00:23, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

May the Force be With You[edit]

I have dropped by and saw the good work you have done in Nanking Safety Zone and Nanking Massacre talk page, wielding off massive invasions from the Darker side and getting many helpers too...(pat, pat) Continue the good work. I will go now. I will come back though as an anon now and then. May the Force be with You. Mandel 18:07, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

Re: vandalism[edit]

What are you going on about? I didn't vandalise a single page. I would appreciate it if you could provide evidence of me vandalising. Otherwise, it's called false accusation. --Miborovsky 01:44, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

OK you just accused me further. I don't want to escalate this, but you are forcing my hand. --Miborovsky 01:46, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Why don't you spend some time to read the discussion before accusing me? HUH? See the talkpage and the history. --Miborovsky 01:47, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Good. I truly hope that was just an honest mistake. --Miborovsky 01:49, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
I just innitialy saw someone deleteing pages and pages of stuff. We have hightened level of vandalism on lots of articles. I sincerely am sorry for all of this, I issued your party a warning and issued a notice to ANB. --Cool Cat Talk 01:57, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

Hwa Chong Instituition[edit]

Oh,you went to Chinese High, hmmm? That means you were one of the FHPS top pupils 2001.But,I can't find you in the FHPS magazine...hmm...nvm...hahaxTdxiang 12:09, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

It's your tone, but also some of your particular statements. There are problems with the article but these should be solved with collaboration, not making these ultimatums, accusations of vandalism, and offensive remarks.

For instance, why did you say Groyn88 is given the pink triangle with a bar and shipped off to Auschwitz? Are you aware of the significance of the pink triangle, and of Auschwitz? If you were I don't think you'd be making such offensive suggestions in the light of Wikipedia's policy on No personal attacks. And I don't think you'd be making edit summaries for such extreme attacks as "Final ultimatum... muahaha". This isn't a laughing matter. You need to clean up your act. --Tony SidawayTalk 22:11, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

Miborovsky's signature[edit]

*shrug* I merely moved it at the request of an anonymous contributor with a solid edit history; if s/he wishes, s/he'll argue his case here. On an unrelated note, your comment timestamp updates into perpetuity. // Pathoschild 22:53, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

Oh you're right. Damn. Current is too current.

I've replaced the current tags with the time from the edit history, if you don't mind. :) // Pathoschild 23:08, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Not at all, thanks. I need to find a way to superscript my date stamp as well... ugh.

If you use substitute, it'll convert the tags to text when you post, de facto making it the time of post.

I'm a webdesigner, so wikimarkup seems natural to me. Besides, I read a few of the guideline and style pages. :) // Pathoschild 23:59, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

Propaganda[edit]

Did you use to watch "Continuous News"? Out of complete curiosity, are you an immigrant, or a foreign national? Colipon+(T) 06:14, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

新闻联播, 7o'clock, on CCTV-1, since late 70's. You should know what I'm talking about. The News show with around 25minutes of propaganda (including "Learn Three Represents"; "national heroes" etc) and 5 minutes of international news. Colipon+(T) 06:30, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
You can't be serious, you don't know what I'm talking about??? And you claim to have lived in China for however many years? Colipon+(T) 06:38, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
