June 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:14, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:37, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Arjayay actually I forgot to mention that I collected the citations from the "mouth" of the Doctors and Medical personnel over there and I live in Berhampore, Murshidabad, so I think this information may be trusted upon Vardhiro (talk) 18:36, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No - we do not allow WP:Original research, such as you collecting information. Only information supported by references to reliable published sources should be added to our articles, and where you live is totally irrelevant. - Arjayay (talk) 18:51, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay surely i would add references Vardhiro (talk) 18:40, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay Thanks for informing me the guidelines 😊 Vardhiro (talk) 18:41, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, you may be blocked from editing. - Arjayay (talk) 18:51, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not interested in who you are, where you are from, what you "know", what you have been told, or what you have found out.
Wikipedia is only interested in what has already been published in reliable, independent sources published by a body with a reputation for fact-checking - No blogs, no self-published sources, no bodies with a conflict of interest, no promotional sites no vanity publishers, no predatory publishers.
These sources must be properly cited in order to support any information added to, or changed in our pages, so the information can be verified as true in the future. It is NOT up to me, any other editor, or the reader, to know about the subject, to find sources, or add references for you.
The responsibility for providing citations is solely on whoever adds or changes any information, to provide references from reliable sources that support those additions or changes.
You are repeatedly failing to do this, which is why your edits have been, and will continue to be, reverted, until you do add proper references.
Please see Help:Referencing for beginners for the "how to" guide. - Arjayay (talk) 18:54, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay Sir, with due respect, whoever are you, I am gonna again edit it and this time put the citations also. I do not expect this type of rude behavior from a senior editor of Wikipedia. Vardhiro (talk) 13:06, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay and then on what basis are you keeping Dr Ranjan Bhattacharyya's statement and also the list of festival's and ceremonies? They also do not have a proper citation Vardhiro (talk) 13:09, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your reply is awaited Vardhiro (talk) 05:56, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reply to what? You deleted the unsourced statement 7 minutes after your post at 13.09 - Arjayay (talk) 13:54, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Arjayay so why didnt you do it sir Vardhiro (talk) 13:55, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not again remove sentences in the lead of a much worked over article, such as Subhas Chandra Bose. The lead of that article is the work of many years by many people. If you change it again, I won't argue with you, but will post next on the user talk pages of some administrators. Be warned. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 10:04, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think wikipedia is a platform which deserves a controversial statement to be put on any of its article's lead Vardhiro (talk) 13:44, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
