I stand corrected. The portion of the WP:ENGVAR I was referring to was the "variety chosen by the first major contributor" part (i.e., in absence of preference, the spelling choice of the first major contributor is to be used). However, in determining the first major contributor I did not look far enough—and the article was actually created using the British spelling. If you see anything in this article that needs to be changed to British spelling, please do so, but please don't go around changing spelling in other articles just because it is your personal preference.
