December 2012[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Emma Thompson. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Emma Thompson was changed by Verminwuss (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.974823 on 2012-12-19T21:09:55+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 21:10, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Lugia2453 (talk) 22:33, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I admit that I was acting immaturely with this Encyclopedia earlier. I now understand that I need to respect the website and its articles. Further, I am intrigued with the work that Wikipedia does, and want to be part of it. I believe that I could legitimately contribute to the pool of opinions. I do not know about what to write yet, but I am sure I will find some soon. Additionally, I am very competent to do so. I am a hard-working student soon to be the valedictorian of my class at a well-respected high school. I hope that an administrator unblocks me soon.Verminwuss (talk) 00:04, 20 December 2012 (UTC

Decline reason:

All of your edits, except this unblock request, are stupid vandalisms. I see no evidence that you have any intention of contributing constructively. For the record we do not want opinions, only facts. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:14, 20 December 2012 (UTC))[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I think the best thing that you can do at this point is to wait a month or two, and then talk to an administrator. Right now, I don't think you're likely to get unblocked. Go Phightins! 02:16, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. With your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia, an administrator might be willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Reading our guide to improving articles
  • Picking any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • Clicking the Edit tab at the top of that article and scroll down past the message informing you of your block.
  • Copying the source of that article and paste it to the bottom of your talk page under a new top-level heading (like this: = [[Article title]] =) and save the page before you improve it.
  • Proposing some significant and well researched improvements to your article by editing your personal copy of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If administrators are sufficiently convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you might be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "{{helpme|your question here}}" to your talk page. Thank you.  Hazard-SJ  ✈  03:52, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
