First lady of the renaissance[edit]

You say that "First Lady is a title--The First Lady of the United States and Michelle Obama on Wikipedia become two seperate pages", but it would only make sense to have an article about the "First lady of the renaissance" if multiple women had held that role over the years, and if something could be said about the role itself (as is the case with the First Lady of the United States article, which lists past holders of the title and explores its history).

If "First lady of the renaissance" is a name that was only ever attributed to Isabella d'Este, it makes more sense to redirect to her article and mention the title there. (The article currently only refers to her as "The First Lady of the world", so perhaps that's worth expanding?) --McGeddon (talk) 09:42, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That does seem odd there is only one, First Lady of the Renaissance. The renaissance was a long period of time over a vast geography of space. Perhaps the title First Lady of the World may be open to the suggestions of alternative candidates. Surely, it would not be the only First Lady of the World?

It sounds more like a nickname than an actual title, like James Brown being the "Godfather of Soul": "Godfather of Soul" is not an honorific title historically passed down from generation to generation, and it would not make sense to have an article about it. --McGeddon (talk) 08:59, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
