Don't Give Up[edit]

It is my opinion that the article on Clothes Over Bros was deleted against Wikipedia policy, and I have contacted the Administrator to give my reasons. There is a procedure for re-starting the article. Sorry to give you this "baptism by fire" on all the rules and regulations, but simply re-starting the article would make it look like you don't care about Wikipedia rules, and we don't want the other users and especially the Admins to get that idea. That's not you. Let's get a response from the Admin who deleted the article, and in the mean time look up things on news sites like www.findarticles.com and news.yahoo.com for news articles that mention the clothing line. Citing WP:RS reliable sources is going to be important for this article.OfficeGirl 22:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great School Project![edit]

That's a very good school project. You can learn a lot here. Maybe it will be easier to start an article that other Wikipedia users already are hoping for. So, let's think about your interests: what country are your ancestors from? have you ever traveled to another country or is there another country you are interested in? Who is your favorite person in history (there's probably already an article about that person, but we may find something that is related)? Do you cook? sew? speak any other languages besides English? What books do you read? Name a few things in response to those questions and I'll show you how to find the lists. Clothes Over Bros[edit]

Hi. I'm sorry that you were disappointed about the deletion of this page. However, the fact that the article met the criteria for speedy deletion doesn't mean that you can't re-create it. If you do, you will need to show that it is a topic that is notable, not just something that is mentioned in a TV series. You need to be clear on why it is notable. I will try to explain to you what I was doing when I deleted it. Because I'm an admin, I have to spend a lot of time (which I would prefer to spend on other things) deleting articles that are created by newish users. In some cases their intention is malicious, in others it is just misguided. There is so much vandalism going on that there is not usually much time to stop and argue the case with each user. You will see from my talk page that I get a lot of abuse because of the attention that I pay to this admin duty, but you will also see from my contributions that I take a lot of trouble to welcome new users and point them in the right direction, and also that I often replace "speedy deletion" tags with less drastic tags, so as to give the user an opportunity to improve them. Contrary to what User:OfficeGirl believes, speedy deletion does not have to be preceded by tagging - tagging is done by users who don't have the power to delete the article. If you would like to re-create it, all you have to do is start again, but this time make it clear that you are talking about a real and major clothing brand, not a fictional one. Good luck!
