DYK nomination of Five Nights at Freddy's

Hello! Your submission of Five Nights at Freddy's at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! czar  00:54, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

According to someone in #wikipedia-en-help, you are the "protecting admin" of August 2014 celebrity photo leaks. That page is currently tagged with both semi-protection and pending changes, which is misleading. The problem is that IP users currently see a silver padlock with a mouseover "All edits by unregistered and new users are subject to review" but the "Edit" tab says "View source", which means unregistered users /cannot/ edit the page. The semi-protection is overriding pending changes. Can you please pick one or the other, perferably WP:PC. Thanks. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 21:45, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited MuchMusic, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Madonna and Conan (TV series). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

iPhone 6

I do not know if you can see what i wrote on my talk page that you sent so I'm just going to write it here.

Literally using the words "allow apps to show more info" does not mean they will run dual pane like the iPhone 6 Plus does. You also show more by making the length of the display longer. I have not seen any sites report that the iPhone 6 is able to do landscape homescreen or dual pane apps. Look the information that's written on the landscape mode on the iPhone 6 is inherently false. Notice on the official Apple page. It explicitly states that Landscape view is on the iPhone 6 Plus, it does not say anything about the iPhone 6 having a landscape view. http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/display/ PS Fan Boy (talk) 22:39, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Suggested ALT

I think EE's concern about a hook being to "sales like" isn't unreasonable, but that leaves us with two hooks that I find kinda boring. Would you consider adding the cnet review (if its not there already)? That way we get some punchy possibilities that we can balance out, like "in spite of a disappointingly low resolution screen ... most luxurious Galaxy". I like the "luxurious" (although, when did metal become a luxury?!). Maury Markowitz (talk) 16:17, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Office 365, rev 626463037

Hello, Viper

I believe I have told you how I respect your editorial judgment, haven't I? However, Special:Diff/626463037/626487306 does not have the ordinary quality or judgment of a ViperSnake151 edit. Categorically, Office 365 is not a service for accessing other services, there is no need to tell the reader three time in the same paragraph that desktop apps are made available and not need to tell him a subscription plan entails subscription!

Of course, I hope I am not making you uncomfortable with this message. In fact, if you have spotted a problem with the previous revision, please do share it with us.

Let's discuss this: Talk:Windows 10#Why 10?. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:42, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Windows 10 Naming

Just to comment, but I don't believe its likely that Windows 10 was named so to prevent compatibility issues and without a reliable source, should be removed. A speculating Reddit user does not constitute fact. All windows code is named Windows 4x or Windows 9x in the base anyway, and even if there would have been an issue, they could have used a different number in code while the consumer side could advertise Windows 9 EoRdE6 (talk) 21:01, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

New England Sports Network

RE: summary edit on New England Sports Network ViperSnake151: Your edits REMOVED content. It does not. You are not paying attention that a history section is being added. You are the one removing content. You are making unneeded edits removing a standard section in most articles "History". I suggest you actually pay attention to what is going on. Instead of creating arguments and making edits for no reason. Spshu (talk) 15:46, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Why does the ASN info need to be "simplified"; it is a page about a sports channel, so why are we withholding information about the sports it shows? That is the content I said you were removing. ViperSnake151  Talk  16:10, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
So in removing information about the ASN, which has its own article, you justify removing whole sections. Real simple readers can click through to the ASN article. This is Wikipedia after all. Spshu (talk) 16:22, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You removed material from the lead without explanation and didn't take your changes to talk. Frankly, I didn't even notice you added the bit further down, and had you discussed instead of templating me, I would have noticed it; it appeared in the diffs to me that you were just removing the broadcast info. I restored the lead material and this time kept the additional content. I agree the article needs more sources, but I have other things to do. Feel free to continue adding sourced material. But don't remove info from the lead just because you've improved it further down, please read WP:LEAD. Montanabw(talk) 23:09, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Re: SFX Entertanment changes

Regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Mikemauer#December_2014

The information presented in the article is erroneous. SFX Entertainment had at no point owned Huka Entertainment, Voodoo Festival, or the Hangout Music Festival. The term 'historically' would not apply here, as it has never been the case. All sources of this online point back to a poorly reported Billboard.com article (http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/touring/1521628/exclusive-sfx-acquires-idt-voodoo-experience .) There is no confirmation of this otherwise.Mikemauer (talk) 21:14, 15 December 2014 (UTC)MikeMauer

Re: I'm Sorry

I agree...it shouldn't be mentioned at all. That's why I removed it. Huka Entertainment, the Hangout Music Festival, and Voodoo Music Festival have nothing to do with SFX Entertainment.

Though this only addresses the first company, Huka Entertainment's most recent press release states that they are a privately held company: http://pembertonmusicfestival.com/wp-content/uploads/PMF_2015_Date_Annc_121014.pdf

Blocked serial copyright infringer now operating in your area

Hi, ViperSnake151. :) I just wanted to stop by and give you a heads up that a blocked serial copyright infringer, User:FreshCorp619, seems to have taken an interest in some of the sports articles you seem to frequent. Collateral damage in your area doesn't seem too bad, as he's continuing his copy-pasting in school articles so far as I can see, but if you happen to notice an Ontarian IP making suspicious edits, you might want to keep an eye out. He tends to taint the histories of the articles he touches. :/ --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:47, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

WMGM-TV

First why did you delete the line stating WMGM's 48 year affiliation with NBC and second there was no reason for you to change the line about the redundancy because it already stated the correct station call-sign which is WCAU NOT WACU. TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 07:02, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

I know we won the game. But can you finish off the sentence that you are writing? OhanaUnitedTalk page 04:16, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
