Signature[edit]

Hi there. I just wanted to let you know that it is required by Wikipedia policy that your signature links back to either your user page or your talk page. You can link to both pages, you can link to other pages, but you have to link to at least one of those two.

If you take the code [[user:Vivek7de|Vivekananda De]], you will get a signature that looks like Vivekananda De. If you wanted it to link to your talk page, that would be [[user talk:Vivek7de|Vivekananda De]].

Your request for rollback[edit]

Hi Vivek7de. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Swarm X 17:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Articles[edit]

If this is an article then why you don't remove articles like Judaism's view of Jesus, Judaism's view of Muhammad, Medieval Christian views on Muhammad. If you think that it is not alight then why YOU don't remove images from article of Muhamamd. Is is not hurting the sentiments of Muslims. I am not making any article which is a personal attack. I was trying to make an article on views of different sects of Islam about Promised Messiah.--Jozoisis (talk) 06:35, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would say it is a very good suggestion. If you believe that such pages exist then help WP remove these kind of pages. Please visit Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion and tag them as necessary. For example:- if you think an article is -->"These "attack pages" may include libel, legal threats, material intended purely to harass or intimidate a person or biographical material about a living person that is entirely negative in tone and unsourced. These pages should be speedily deleted when there is no neutral version in the page history to revert to" then click edit on the top right of the article and tag them with required tags.Be sure to fill in the edit summary by explaining that why you think it is a negative article. Please also read about the neutral point of view of the articles in WP.Good Luck.Vivekananda De--tAlK 06:46, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A Question?[edit]

My article was of neutral point of view. I was trying to represent Muslim point of views about their Promised Messiah. You know that Wikipedia do not remove images from the article of Muhammad and says that as it neutral so it cannot remove images. You know that this sentiment is hurting Muslims. What can do you at this? You cannot do anything? I was trying to give views of Islamic sects about Promised Messiah.--Jozoisis (talk) 07:01, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is true that I cannot do anything about this.Sad.But we need people like you can understand this subtle differences between whats offensive to a community or not. Thus if you have a clear cut understanding whats the problem then help rectify it.Moreover the articles that you have suggested for deletion all have good sources to support. If you have any published books (not self published ones) to prove your point of view then please add them to the article which makes it notable and then no editor can remove the article in any way. Please understand WP is a cooperative effort and everybody is not an expert of everything. Thus we need reliable sources (see WP:IRS and WP:VERIFY) for checking. If you cant verify something then that article cannot be in Wikipedia.Vivekananda De--tAlK 07:08, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article regarding Nanabhai Bhatt (Lokbharti)[edit]

Re: Article regarding Nanabhai Bhatt (Lokbharti)[edit]

Hi Vivek7de, if you visit and study both the articles under an eventual common name 'Nanabhai Bhatt', you would note the difference, in fact it's a drastic one. You may be talking about Nanabhai Bhatt denoted to Films and Indian Cinema, who is a different person altogether and the one, created by me Nanabhai Bhatt (Lokbharti) is a different person and personality altogether. Also, may you please check and visit the references given in Nanabhai Bhatt (Lokbharti) article. It's just eventual and co-incidental the name is same but the both of them are different persons. :) I had checked Nanabhai Bhatt article already before creating Nanabhai Bhatt (Lokbharti). :) Thank you for updating though and have a great time ahead! Kind regards. Shivnag (talk) 11:17, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Shivnag[reply]

Puppetry[edit]

Hi

If you feel there is such a correlation, perhaps report it anyway - it can go two ways: either they are shown not to be, in which case you can rest at ease; they can be shown to be the same person, in which case you were right and action will be taken.

I have dealt with "them" before, but I did not hold the same suspicion. Now you have pointed out the similar summary, I am inclined to suggest you report it if you can find a little more evidence of similar summaries or similar edits.

I would be surprised if they are the same person, as they seem to be diverse in their editing history, but I have been somewhat surprised before by sock puppets and the lengths they go to to hide themselves.

I have nominated so many afds that have not been deleted as others have found other references, which I could not trace or have disagreed with my interpretation of WP:Notability. There is nothing to be feel guilty about nominating an article for Afd and the article being not deleted as a result. Best wishes. Question from Gregx1872[edit]

Reg Kaali Sudheer :)

I have visiting the Muse Art gallery in Hyderabad and i have attended all the art events curated by Kaali sudheer. He is doing a fantastic community service in the areas of Art . helping the budding, young, women artists to show case their talent and build their careers in the art . i spoke to him in length and understood that we need to have a wikipedia page for him so that it will be of use for Artists who want to show their works and get benefited. As the gallery is a not to profit started by a big name like Marriott and Marriott have partnered with kaali sudheer. Thought it will be of great use for artists around the world to use this wonderful space and show their talent. I have given the external links of well known sources like US consulate of Hyderabad , Confederation of Indian Industry ( CII) , Yahoo News and well known news papers Hindu and postnoon etc.. Greg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talk • contribs) 18:47, 13 February 2012 (UTC) I do not agree with your deletion as In India Esp in south India there is hardly any art appreciation. there are very few art galleries in Hyderabad and that too all galleries are commercial one. Kaali sudheer has stated this to promote artists supported by Marriott. Kaali Sudheer has been doing a good work in the area of art. i object your decision for deletion please=greag — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 The verifiable points that i can put forward here for the debate 1.The press release by Marriott USA about his role . link is here : http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Marriott-Hyderabad-Resort-iw-2589087370.html 2. The US Consul General Hyderabad ( Govt. USA ) has partnered with him in various occasions and they have put this information on their websites . Link is here : http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/pr011411.html ( this is the biggest art show ever in India by US Artists link for that is http://www.hindu.com/2011/01/15/stories/2011011562450400.htm) and also pl visit : http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/pe09162010.html (This was for NDTV ( which is a well known TV channel in India ) to raise funds for Ladakh Flood victims ). 3.As i mentioned earlier there is hardly an art and cultural activity in this part of country and that too all are of commercial ones. The efforts put b kaali Sudheer are note worthy . very recently he got a noted actor called kamal and did an art show called "my name is minnu " to raise funds for girl child education for underprivileged. the link is here http://www.idlebrain.com/news/2000march20/mynameisminnu.html 4. Confederation of India Industry is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded over 117 years ago. they did a exclusive women artists show to help school children. link is here http://www.cii.in/PressreleasesDetail.aspx?enc=yRScwmDx5a/qIyyfy8vgiaKRuQCFeG1/VbK7hBx4TCqksVBe426IOzCxJiw35XD8Y9ENvpZxBX/oiZM5TAuMNg== Suddenly there is buzz of art and cultural activity happening in Hyderabad and eventually every art show will have some cause added and the society is benefited at large. If asked no one is ready to give money for charity but if sell paintings ( worth their money ) and that money goes to a good cause is really a good thought. may be i do not know how to put all of these in a proper format ( as i am new in this ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talkcontribs) 07:39, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • This person ,as claimed, may have contributed positively towards art,yet it is not a reason for notablility. WP:ARTIST / WP:BIO in general says that "person has received a well-known and significant award or honor" or "widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record" as a criteria for any biography.I agree he is the curator of ,so called, art museum, but there are many others doing the same thing. So, what is the distinctive thing / contribution for which he should have a separate article? Vivekananda De--tAlK 05:20, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you said he is another art curator i disagree as he is running a not to profit art gallery . show me one art gallery in Entire state of AP where there is a not to profit art gallery and a person working full time to promote art ? He has raised funds for noted orgnisations in hyderabad which are note worthy . CAP foundation , Heal a Child foundation , Naandi trust , People aids initiative and many other causes. there will so many org which are genuine and look for funds and art can help them to raise money and can be used for right purpose. please look into this as it helps lot of genuine people . and one more thing is the page was there for more than a year and suddenly you deleted it. i feel you should take a look again , thx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talkcontribs) 07:42, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • I have never doubted this person's achievements ! But the problem is that Wikipedia runs on certain policies like WP:GNG ,WP:RS, WP:V.In wiki every body is not a an expert of everything and so we need reliable sources to verify the person's notability.Let's talk about info given in the sources about this person.
  1. Marriot Link :- It says " with displays perfected under the guidance of Art Curator Kaali Sudheer, who is assisting hotel staff in the procurement and design of this extraordinary cultural exhibition."
  2. US consulate :- It says "Kaali Sudheer and Rahul Mitra (USA) curated the exhibit."
  3. The Hindu :- It says "Kaali Sudheer, one of the curators of the exhibition claimed."
  4. Hyderabad US-consulate :-It says "The exhibition was organized in association with Kalakriti Art Gallery and Kaali Sudheer."
  5. Idle brain :- I will not consider it a reliable source.(Plz see WP:RS for the reason )
  6. CII :- It says "Mr. Kaali Sudheer interacted with Yi members at Muse art gallary. He briefed Yi members about the celebration of the spirit of womanhood by organizing the first ever huge show of paintings by more than 20 women artists from October 22nd."

Now can you show me one reliable source which says "He has raised funds for noted orgnisations in hyderabad which are note worthy . CAP foundation , Heal a Child foundation , Naandi trust , People aids initiative and many other causes". If I cannot verify what you are saying it cannot be put on Wikipedia. Moreover everywhere the person's name comes as a passing mention. The sources never say " he is running a not to profit art gallery ".Thus it was worthy of being deleted. P.S: Regarding your comment "one more thing is the page was there for more than a year and suddenly you deleted it." plz read WP:OTHERSTUFF. Vivekananda De--tAlK 13:51, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

this is a link of popular news paper Deccan Chronicle http://www.deccanchronicle.com/tabloid/talk-town/week-full-rumours-532 where it says he has raised 20 lac indian rs for heal a child foundation same event another link of times http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-03-08/hyderabad/31140166_1_art-lovers-star-hotel-guests another link of Kaali Sudheer http://www.hybiz.tv/Kaali-Sudheer--MUSE-Art-Gallery/165227 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talkcontribs) 03:26, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

as i am not that good in web search it may some time but i do have all the information which is reliable — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talkcontribs) 03:22, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

      • You simply don't understand. The links that you have given are not full fledged articles about "Kaali Sudheer". Please understand that being a curator of an art museum does not warrant notability. They maybe reliable sources but they do not provide notability.<br\>"Thanks to the 39 generous people, the total proceeds collected amounted to Rs 20 lakh, which will go to support the Heal a Child Foundation."--this is a normal thing,In an art exhibition selling paintings and collecting amounts is a normal thing. I agree the purpose is good but it still does not provide notability. Vivekananda De--tAlK 10:13, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sir in a country like ours and city like Hyderabad do you think we will get write ups of uninteresting domain such as art ? i think we are over expecting from the media . They just give a small item saying there was a exhi and so and so came if its a film star then they write pages and pages. coming to the raising 20 lac in a cith like Hyderabad for art if you feel its very normal . i do not have to say anything. there is hardly any art happening there and getting people and making them buy is huge. please check if any one earliar in hyderabad raised that kind of money . thx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregx1872 (talkcontribs) 05:20, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Running a not to profit art gallery is something which i have never seen in my 10 yrs of art life . promoting art and charity in a big way with all noted names of various domains is something you please need to look at. thx Gregx1872 (talk —Preceding undated comment added 05:27, 3 May 2012 (UTC). <br\>[reply]

    • I will say it clearly "I am not an expert of art.The truth is I don't know e of art".This is the main reason why, for me,20 lac or 20 crores are same in case of a painting exhibition. As I have said we need reliable sources to verify everything. As the article did not have those ,it was deleted.I am also not from media. Wikipedia runs on certain guidelines and everybody contributing should be following those(including me).In the case of an exceptions like yours ,articles are not given the benefit of doubt.Sorry.Its hard but this is the truth I cannot do anything.Bring full fledged articles for notability and then I will be helping you start the article and also making sure that it does not deleted.Till then..... Thank you for participating in the January 2012 MTC Drive. The drive was a big success. An argument for my article[edit]

There are an articles named Judaism view of Muhammad and Judaism view of Jesus when can't there be my article. I am not doing personal attack on Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, I am giving different Muslim views on him.--Jozoisis (talk) 13:02, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • If the article has views which can be verified by independent sources then, it should have a place in Wikipedia.Everybody is not a master of everything and thus for the verification of views reliable sources are needed. Again please be sure reliable sources (you can read WP:RS for help) are the basis of your article and " other people have to be able to check that you didn't just make things up". You can actually use the article ,Judaism's views on Muhammad, as the reference point to make your article resistant to deletion. P.S:- Wikipedia is full of people who would want articles deleted even if its according to WP standards, just because it doesn't fit in their scheme of things. My advice would be to fight hard for what you think is correct, but do so in proper forum with proper use of Wiki policies. Cheers..!!! Vivekananda De--tAlK 15:39, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Anupmehra and wanted to thank you for works you do around here. Recently, you curated a page and posted a message on my user talk page that you have unreviewed a page, I reviewed and to ask you if I had any questions regarding that. The page you marked unreviewed before marking it reviewed and tagging it with {{copypaste}} template, was tagged for speedy deletion due to copyright violation. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright thing more seriously than any other. I also noticed that the tag was removed by the creator of the page what you may not be aware of. However, you still should mark the page up for speedy deletion due to copyright violation instead tagging it with "copypaste" template. You may find Wikipedia copyright violation policy a good reading, in particular the section Dealing with copyright violations. Please take a look at New Page Patrol guideline before you review more new pages whether manually or with curation tool. Again, thank you for your contributions and happy editing! Regards, Anupmehra -Let's talk! 16:16, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh! I didn't notice the removal of the tag by the user. Well from my point of view, the page does not deserve a G12 tag. Normally G12 is used for--> "This criterion applies only in unequivocal cases, where there is no free-content material on the page worth saving and no later edits requiring attribution".But in this case there is some material that can be saved. The user must be notified of the problem and allowed to rectify. Just my two cents.(I have also added my comments to the talk page of the article) Vivekananda De--tAlK 16:52, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
To me, it appears to be an unequivocal case because except infobox all of the contents are copied from that external copyright protected source. A report of the violation may be seen here. The infobox appears to be copied from other similar Wikipedia articles and being unattributed, it is also a copyright violation within Wikipedia. I've restored the tag for now. In any case, the contents have to go. Let the reviewing administrator decide whether just by blanking and starting from scratch would solve the problem or deleting and re-creating. If you wish to notify me any follow-up, please write {{ping|Anupmehra}} in your comment instead leaving me a new message. Thanks again, Anupmehra -Let's talk! 17:27, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely inappropriate deletion request[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you nominated the article History of Singapore Changi Airport for speedy deletion citing that its content duplicated that of the article Singapore Changi Airport. The article Singapore Changi Airport was tagged in November 2014 with a banner saying that it was 'too long to navigate comfortably', recommending the creation of sub-articles. Perhaps the reason you found the new article so speedily deletable was because you didn't see this tag? Or was it because you nominated it before I could remove the transferred content from the old article? Either way, that's extremely irresponsible. Seriously, Wikipedia has too many administrators who don't think things over, or pay attention to details. It doesn't matter to me whether or not you delete the article, as it isn't ME who's going to be affected by your decision, it's the readers who are going to find it impossible to use the article at Singapore Changi Airport. Sincerely, Hendrick 99 (talk) 07:40, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Firstly my apologies if I seem harsh. Please continue editing Wikipedia as it is by constructive editing that it will expand more. I am not an admin and I only felt that the article's history should be a part of the main article. If the admin feels that the tag is unnecessary he/ she will remove it. I still feel that the new article is unnecessary as it is still VERY long and it does not serve any purpose whatsoever. Vivekananda De--tAlK 07:49, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Vivek7de,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
