February 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Earthquake engineering has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yxgu4as8he). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 05:33, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Earthquake engineering do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Block[edit]

Creating a new account name in order to get around a block on your primary account is not permitted on Wikipedia.

If you would like to be unblocked, please use the talk page of your primary account: Shustov (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Acknowledging that you understand the plagiarism problems with your previous contributions would be a good start to any unblock request, as would a commitment to stop using Wikipedia to promote your own websites, ideas, and patents. Please avoid making further personal attacks on other Wikipedia editors in any unblock request that you might post. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:18, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On further review of your contributions, you also appear to have continued to upload images with incorrect copyright tags. There is no indication that File:Fluid viscous damper.jpg has a CC-by-SA 3.0 license. The document from which it was taken – PDF – is an edition of Structure magazine, which does not indicate any sort of free license on their content. (Indeed, their website explicitly notes, "All materials contained in this website fall under U.S. copyright laws. Reprinting or other use of these materials without express permission of NCSEA is prohibited.")

Please don't upload anything else. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:47, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
