Request reason:

My account was block with accusation on "Abusing multiple accounts: single purpose accounts involved in AfD !vote fraud" after my vote "Keep" at AfD discussion on Dmitry Galkovsky http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Dmitry_Galkovsky. Indeed, this was only my second edition at English wiki. Dmitry Galkovsky, a controversial ("alternative") Russian writer (a kind of Russian Michel Houellebecq) and a prominent blogger has blogged (in Russian: http://galkovsky.livejournal.com/131962.html ) information that his wiki page was being considered for deletion because of his insufficient "notability". Galkovsky did not appeal to the Internet comunity and his post is more as "much I care". Nevertheless, many readers of his blog (including myself) tried to step in and support this entry. Personally, I tried to expand the article, including information that I new. Unfortunately, the experienced user biophys suspected sockpuppetry of "meatpuppetry" and repoted this to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tiptoety administrator, who blocked almost everybody voting as "Keep". I believed, that Galkovsky is an interesting author, a winner of a popular writer prize http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/1282873/Anti-Booker-Prize and thus a notable person. My account is my real name, and you may try to search Google Scholar for my publication in Math and Biostatistis, and I used it only once to correct a mistake in one biophysical page. It is really distressing to have it blocked in the middle of blocking campain initiated by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Biophys (see A hilarious WP:DUCK joke in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tiptoety talk page. Thank you for understanding.

Decline reason:

I find it odd that there are 2 accounts, both created on the same day, each having a single edit the day these accounts were created, and then no activity for over 2 years until they both vote to keep a specific article and one of them also edits the article in question. This would seem to me like sockpuppets. (The other account is Volodymir k). עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:18, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I agree that it looks like as an extremely strage coincidence. But in this case it is more unjustly to know that the blocking period of the account of Volodymir k has been reduced to 9 days (see the last entry in the talk of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tiptoety . In this case it is strange to have my account blocked indefinitely!

Decline reason:

Okay, you can have the same. Block reduced to 9 days. I don't intend that this should be naturally granted to all the users in this mess, but your two cases do seem to be pretty well comparable. Mangojuicetalk 14:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record, I would like to state that my declining the first unblock request here preceded ManogJuice's shortening of Volodymir k's block. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 15:46, 22 September 2008 (UTC) Ok. Thanx for letting me know. Vsevolod makeev[reply]
