Welcome

Hello, Vpoko. I removed a warning that the user NBGPWS added to your page over a dispute regarding the article on Protest Warrior. I'd like to remind you that even though tension there is high, content disputes are never, ever vandalism. However, it is always helpful to try to resolve disputes on the talk page (as I see has been done, over and over), and failing that, resort to outside mediation. Thank you for your contributions, and happy editing, --Kuzaar-T-C- 14:27, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you, I had removed the warning myself but then reverted because I wasn't sure about the appropriateness of removing a warning from my own talk page. Thanks for taking care of it! Vpoko 14:32, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
No problem. You did the right thing not reverting a warning on your own talk page, because generally it's far more legitimate if another user does so, so as not to give the appearance of any kind of abuse of editing privileges. --Kuzaar-T-C- 14:40, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Here to Help

Let me know if you ever need help on something. Anti-POV warriors need to stick together. Cheers. Morton devonshire 18:58, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks... some users just need to be educated on how controvertial articles can exist on Wikipedia, depsite the HUGE number of viewpoints. Users that want to contribute will learn by example, ones that don't will probably move on. Vpoko 19:20, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

sockpuppet inquiry on User:Caelestissurf

I am a bit confused with the results of this. Are they still trying to find out whose sock the user is? TheKaplan 07:22, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

No. They blocked the account. See here. --Tbeatty 07:49, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Hi there! Looks like you put an AfD on Bubble hash but you wanted to put it on bubblehash, if I read you right. Bubble hash, with a space, seems like a fine entry. The one without a space seems like the bad one. Is that what you meant to do? --six.oh.six 23:34, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
You are absolutely right, I'm fixing it now. Vpoko 23:34, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

If you are going to close AfD discussions then please use {{subst:at}} and {{subst:ab}} for the top and bottom of the discussion page respectively. This lets readers know that the process has been concluded. Also, if you are not an admin, you should only do this on articles with unanimous or overwhelming keep votes:

"Although closing AfD discussions that end with an outcome of "keep" can be done by non-admins, it is recommended that only administrators close discussions as speedy-keeps. Normal users are encouraged to recommend a "speedy keep" instead."

Wikipedia:Speedy keep contains the relevant policy.  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  21:08, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
