Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Cerro Panizos/archive1

[edit]

Greetings, since you took part in the review at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Mount Hudson/archive1 I was wondering if you had any thoughts on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Cerro Panizos/archive1, especially the disagreement between me and David Fuchs. Hey, i've created RfC on Kuči (tribe) talk page, but the link that is currently on Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/History_and_geography is broken due to character Č.

How to fix this? People won't be able to join from this page, and i am afraid that maybe even invites to the RfC are broken due to that link. Setxkbmap (talk) 08:52, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the link with this edit. Hopefully the bot doesn't change it back. -- WOSlinker (talk) 08:56, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help. I wanted to edit it myself but there was a statement that it should not be edited. I thought maybe admins would know something more, or could not be overwritten Setxkbmap (talk) 08:58, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's mainly a risk that the Bot will change it back or mess it up later on. Will just have to wait and see. -- WOSlinker (talk) 08:59, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Setxkbmap: Looks as though the Bot has just gone and changed it back now. I think you'll need to contact the Bot owner about it. I've created a rediect as a workaround so that the link works. -- WOSlinker (talk) 09:04, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks!
Can we somehow check whether bot invited people to discussion correctly? I've read somewhere that bot invites random people to join discussion. Setxkbmap (talk) 09:05, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the bots contributions on the user talk namespace, it doesn't appear to notify anyone for RFCs. So it must be some other bot for that. -- WOSlinker (talk) 09:08, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox road lint errors

[edit]

I see you've been active on the {{Infobox road}} talk page and seem to know the template. Perhaps you can help me with this.

I've been clearing out all the missing <p> end tag lint errors in the article namespace and I'm left with 36 road articles I can't fix. They all use {{Infobox road}} or {{Infobox road list}} templates, and those templates, plus the templates and modules they call, don't appear to use <p> tags.

The problem appears to be with the {{Infobox road}} "marker_image" parameter. For example in U.S. Route 151, "marker_image" is set to {{infobox road/shieldmain/USA|state=WI|type=US|route=151}}, and lintHint reports a missing <p> end tag. If I remove the value from "marker_image", lintHint reports no missing end tags. Yet if I put {{infobox road/shieldmain/USA|state=WI|type=US|route=151}} on its own in my sandbox, lintHint reports no missing end tags! I can't make sense of this. Can you help? —Bruce1eetalk 13:23, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker)  Fixed. I had a go at this one a while ago, but I was unable or unwilling to see it through. I worked on it again today, and I think I fixed it without breaking anything. I had to replace a bunch of p tags with div tags in a module subpage. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:39, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Jonesey95: Thanks for that. This has been bugging me for weeks. —Bruce1eetalk 15:00, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
