Hi there.

I appreciate how difficult it is to create neutral articles when you have a conflict of interest, so - congratulations on an excellent job.

I have two minor bones to pick, but not enough to stop me making it live. It would be great if you might have ideas about them;

"target audience" - Could that section title be changed, as it sounds more like an opinion than a fact, or at least a view of the company itself; and the language in the section isn't very encyclopaedic. "Target audience XMetaL is geared towards users who create content and has an overall feel that that resembles a word processor" - "geared towards" and "overall feel" are a bit wooly and opinionated - I appreciate that the review uses such language, but it still may not be appropriate in the encyclopaedia.

Just one other bit - "the popular HTML editor HoTMetaL" - yes, I know, it's pretty well-known - but the phrase 'popular' always grates, so I'm going to remove that word.

I've marked it as C-class, for the time being - I suspect that it is B-class really, but don't have the time to check all the referencing thoroughly enough for that, at the moment. You could always get a peer review.

Style-wise, it looks pretty good. The prose could do with work (as always); it does sound rather like a string of facts. I've fixed up some disambiguations - please check I've got the right ones.

So - nice work; let me know what you think about my comments. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  18:15, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time for this, and for your constructive feedback. I've changed the title of the "Target audience" section to "Uses" and reworded the first sentence. It could maybe be improved more but I can't think of how exactly to word it. Cheers Walk Up Trees (talk) 20:24, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
