Regarding VCPI[edit]

Hi, in your article on VCPI, you mention an extension to the original specification, called XVCPI. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any mention of it anywhere. Do you happen to have additional information, preferrably a copy of it? --86.35.170.233 (talk) 07:20, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Appreciation[edit]

No problem, I was afraid you would change it back actually! I'm quite happy with the "editions" article, and hopefully we can get it up to GA status, if that's possible! --Resplendent (talk) 18:20, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Windows XP System Restore.png listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:Windows XP System Restore.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Rebuttal to "Some reading material"[edit]

You all about following the guidelines, yet you make a controversial move with going thru the proper channels. Quit making me laugh. Oh nice move of crying to admins, yet you violate the rule that you "reported" me on. 『 ɠu¹ɖяy¤¢ 18:17, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is no rule regarding page moves and "proper channels". There's a move button, and I applied the philosophy of being WP:BOLD and I fixed what is obviously an incorrect article name. That's how work gets done around here. Now run along and do your basic research; you'll learn that I'm right when it comes to the name of Apple's latest operating system. You might want to review my edit history to get a sense of my familiarity with the topic, too. Warren -talk- 18:26, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Snow Leopard reverts/edit warring[edit]

The last revert you did [1] after I had spoke about not edit warring on the talk page was a bit much, don't you think? You had posted on the talk page after my comment, thus you must have seen my note about discussion versus edit warring. I hope you didn't simply revert to your preferred version just because you were technically still within the 3RR rule. As an experienced editor, I had expected better behaviour from you. Mac OS X Snow Leopard[edit]

Just wanted to apologize for the "not completely comfortable" bit, guess it sounded more negative then I intended. Again I fully agree with the page move and even the boldness of it. PaleAqua (talk) 17:26, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mac OS X move proposal[edit]

Hi there,

In September you commented on the proposal to move Mac OS X Snow Leopard to its original title, Mac OS X v10.6. I believe that its current title is most appropriate, and have opened another proposal for Mac OS X v10.3, v10.4, and v10.5 to follow this new convention and be moved to Mac OS X Panther, Tiger, and Leopard, respectively. I'd like to establish a consensus on the subject, and since you were involved in the previous discussion on the subject, I thought you might like to offer an opinion here as well. There is only one vote other than my own so far, and I'd like to hear some more opinions rather than declare a consensus on this limited basis.

Thanks in advance. If you'd like to contact me, please do so on my user talk page or the proposal itself. —INTRIGUEBLUE (talk|contribs) 21:30, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Pismo[edit]

A tag has been placed on Pismo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:11, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your "Education moment" in my talk page[edit]

Dear Warren: Pardon me for my very late response to your entry of 4 years ago about my comment in the article about Windows Vista, a product which by now is quite obsolete. But I gather that it was you who was in need of an additional bit of education, not me. You committed precisely the same sin that you accused me of: lack of research. Have you ever thought of devoting some time to the Spanish language? You see, besides English, I happen to be fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, plus some Hebrew. To me, the word Vista is also (and perhaps mainly) a Spanish word, regardless of what Dictionary.com says, as I don't believe that website has any authority at all.
