Bot accounts[edit]

Hi, WaterQuark. I see that you have created an account to use with a bot. It's perfectly possible that you already know all about using bots on Wikipedia, in which case feel free to ignore this message. However, since you are a fairly new editor, I thought you might not know all about it. If you don't, then I suggest that you have a look at Wikipedia:Bot policy. The page Wikipedia:Bots may also be helpful. JBW (talk) 21:04, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information. Do I write the code for the bot first, run it in userspace to test, then submit it for approval, or submit it before writing it? (Also, I mistakenly created the account without being logged into my main account, do I need to do something to link the accounts together?) WaterQuark (talk) 21:15, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
