An article you recently created, 2019–20 FC Chornomorets Odesa season, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 10:14, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Logo-Chornomorets-Stadium.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Logo-Chornomorets-Stadium.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Disambiguation link notification for July 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Igor Belanov, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Striker. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

September 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Odesa, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Please stop removing sourced and consensus content on Odesa/Odessa. While one version may be more prominent in English, both are commonly used. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:13, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Odesa#Pronunciation_of_the_city_name_in_the_article. Kind Regards. Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 08:27, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And you weren't just removing the pronunciation... you were removing Odessa also. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:40, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Because "Odessa" is wrong if we translate from ukrainian to english. Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 19:39, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We aren't translating. The city has two English spellings: Odesa and Odessa. And in English they are pronounced the same. Fyunck(click) (talk) 04:44, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, you aren't translating, but in the article next to the spelling "Odessa" there is notice that it is the spelling by russian translation of the word Odessa to english. Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 15:08, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but that's a different situation than removing the English spelling Odessa. You'll note in the prior discussion that we were talking about how best to form the first sentence. Choices like the following would work better:
  • Odesa (Оде́са, Оде́сса) or Odessa
  • Odesa (Ukrainian: Оде́са, Russian: Оде́сса) or Odessa
  • Odesa or Odessa ;- note: we'd put all the foreign pronunciation stuff in the name section.
But we must maintain both prevalent English spellings. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:16, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think we must maintain both prevalent English spellings, and/or it would work better. Take a look at EN-article about ukrainian city Dnipro ... here there is only ukrainian spelling: 1. of the current city name; 2. of the former city name (as city belonged to USSR).Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 10:08, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We always have both prevalent English spellings if there are two, and I would hazard a guess that Odessa is the most common spelling among average Americans. If the city is called Dnipro in English we wouldn't have two spellings in the lead. However the Dnieper river has two English spellings so we use both. Similar to Kyiv/Kiev. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
>among average Americans
The whole English-speaking world (=english native speakers) isn't just Americans.
>However the Dnieper river has two English spellings so we use both.
Ok, but you don't write there the first spelling is ukrainian, and the second one — russian, and so on.

A tag has been placed on Allrise Capital, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You need to write this in your own words. It also looks like advertising because you copied text from company press release. Don't do that. -- Whpq (talk) 19:56, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was on the way to write this in my own words! It was not necessary to delete the article completely! At least there remains the Ukrainian version, which is gradually being improved. Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 20:23, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it was necessary to delete the article. It consisted of copyrighted material. Wikipedia require the content to be freely licensed. Do not copy copyrighted text. -- Whpq (talk) 20:48, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with you. It was not necessary to delete the article. A small style's update can be done instead of delete the article. The EN-article will be created here sooner or later.Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 20:54, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then you are disagreeing with the third pillar of Wikipedia. -- Whpq (talk) 21:08, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Allrise Capital[edit]

Hello Web-wiki-warrior,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Allrise Capital for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

The firm is important enough, cause it is a sponsor of the ukrainian premier league football club "Chornomorets" Odesa, and furthermore the firm is owner of the Chornomorets's stadium.Web-wiki-warrior (talk) 10:09, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting needed grammatical edits[edit]

Warning icon Now more than once, you have wholesale reverted needed grammatical edits at 2022–23 FC Chornomorets Odesa season. An article is not a proprietary space. When edits are needed, as was the case at 2022–23 FC Chornomorets Odesa season, it is acceptable for anyone to make them, if done correctly. My grammatical corrections have not changed the meanings of the sentences, and they have fixed glaring and obvious problems in each sentence. You have, however, undone each of them, reverting the sentences to their previous incorrect forms. This borders on violations of WP:NOTHERE and WP:COMPETENCE. If you are unable to recognize the grammatical mistakes you are making in writing the sentences in the "Timeline" section of this article, you might want to reconsider whether you are capable of continuing to edit on the English-language version of Wikipedia. If you are unwilling to allow someone else to edit a page due to a feeling of propriety over it, or for any other reason at all, please review WP:CO to remind yourself that Wikipedia is by nature collaborative. Anwegmann (talk) 01:01, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

>My grammatical corrections have not changed...
Your "corrections" have changed the content: For example you have deleted information about friendly match Zimbru-Chornomorets played July 9, 2022. Why? Every professional soccer team in the world plays friendly matches. What is so wrong in the case? Moreover, as you deleted it you added a comment "senseless". Why this information is senseless?
>You have, however, undone each of them, reverting the sentences to their previous incorrect forms.
I think it is not true. I revised and corrected sentences. They may not be 100% consistent with Wikipedia's style, but they were grammatically correct after my corrections.
Please show me an example using the em dash in a Wikipedia-article, you use by your "corrections"? I mean your constructions like following:
* any dateIn the 1th round, and so on.

Again, wholesale reverting needed grammatical edits[edit]

Warning icon You have wholesale reverted needed grammatical edits again, this time at 2023–24 FC Chornomorets Odesa season. An article is not a proprietary space. If you are unwilling to allow someone else to edit a page due to a feeling of propriety over it, or for any other reason at all, please review WP:CO to remind yourself that Wikipedia is by nature collaborative.

Also, the fact that you freely admit that your edits "may not be 100% consistent with Wikipedia's style" is further evidence of your inability to follow standard consensus and work collaboratively. Additionally, the fact that you don't seem to recognize the awkward phrasing, grammatical mistakes, and passive voice used in your sentences, and you seem to think that reverting my corrections counts as revision and correction, is further evidence of a lack of WP:COMPETENCE. Again, you do not own these articles. You are not the proprietor of the content in these articles. I am correcting obvious mistakes in written English that need to be fixed.

Also, if you want to use the team's nickname in the article's body, you must both capitalize it and include a clear explanation of the nickname. One way to do this is to add it to the infobox or to the lead. Anwegmann (talk) 22:17, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

imho not true ... I didn't change the sentences to an incorrect form
>Also, the fact that you freely admit that your edits "may not be 100% consistent with Wikipedia's style" is further evidence of your inability to follow standard consensus and work collaboratively.
imho it provides no evidence of any inability...

imho not true. I've recognized and corrected sentences to a grammatically correct form. FYI: awkward phrasing is not end of the world :)

very nice

The team's nickname is known and has been provided in the team's info box.
...
I miss your explanations about why you deleted text about friendly match Zimbru-Chornomorets (s. 2022–23 FC Chornomorets Odesa season), and why did you comment on this information as meaningless? Also, the facts are further evidences of your inability to follow the subject of the article and work collaboratively.

Overlinking[edit]

Stop icon

Please stop overlinking in the article 2023–24 FC Chornomorets Odesa season. This is now the third time I've been forced to leave a note on your talk page about not following Wikipedia standards. Please follow clearly delineated practices, established both in the Wikipedia Manual of Style and by consensus (in this case at WP:OVERLINK). You are overlinking in the same section of the article, which is unwarranted, especially given the very short length of the section. Continuing to refuse to edit according to Wikipedia standards will fall under the standard of disruptive editing. Anwegmann (talk) 22:41, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
