Notability of Robert Stigers[edit]

A tag has been placed on Robert Stigers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MuffledThud (talk) 11:35, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

April 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Robert Stigers has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bfacebook\.com (links: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1033060221).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. fascism - "century of the right" issue, disproving your claim that the Doctrine of Fascism says "century of the left"[edit]

you claim that English translators mistranslated the original Italian language La dottrina del fascismo, and that it should say "century of the left" based on several English language translations of the book. I looked up the Italian language statements, here are the results:

web search in Italian of ""un secolo di sinistra" dottrina fascismo" ("a century of the left" doctrine fascism) = 4 results and none of them mention the Doctrine of Fascism or the quote [1]
web search in Italian of ""un secolo di destra" dottrina fascismo" ("a century of the right" doctrine fascism) = 861,000 results, the second result on the search links to an Italian language book on Google Books that includes the Doctrine of Fascism in it and the quote saying "un secolo di destra" [2]. Here is the link to the book and the quote: [3]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.145.75.33 (talk) 02:33, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Controversies over Italian Fascism’s political placement requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.lksamuels.com/?cat=4. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Century of the Right[edit]

In order to mention in any article that there is a controversy over whether Mussolini said "Left" or "Right", you need to show that there is a controversy in reliable sources. While L.K. Samuels' article mentioned it, you would need to show either that it is a matter of scholarly controversy or that scholars have noticed the controversy. That is what the "No original research" and "Neutrality" policies require. If you disagree with the policies, then you should get them changed.

In the original, Mussolini used the word "destra", which is Italian for Right, and it was translated as Right into other languages. The original translation into English had it as "Left", but more recent translations say "Right." While Hoover quoted the mistranslation, which said "Left", he was not arguing that it was left-wing, just that it was "the antithesis to Liberalism." I do not know why the original translation was wrong, but if you have any sources that explain it, they need to be provided.

Note: This article was listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2014 May 19 because of the apparent substantial copying from the presumed source.
