Darwin Awards is a legend - you should try and get a userbox made saying 'This user cracks up at the Darwin Awards' or something similar. I'd certainly have it on my userpage. Hi Wendy Wendy - on the page for the image above you seem to be trying to limit the use to pages connected with the Darwin Awards. under the GFDL you can not limit use in this fashion. Could decide whether or not you want to release the image under the GFDL and either remove the wording on the page to clear up the confusion or replace the licensing tag with one you are prepared to release the image under? PS I also just noticed you stuck a GFDL license on your Darwin Awards logo image. Are you sure you want to release your site's logo under the GFDL? I believe that would pretty much allow any other person who wanted to to use the logo where ever they wished, including on copy-cat sites or books, and to make any adaptions to it they wanted to. This is not something most people want to do with their logos. Hi Wendy Wendy, Wikipedia basically doesn't allow you to grant permission that limits where and how images can be used. It requires any permission to be under a copyleft type of license. (Wikimedia Foundation's explicit mission is to increase the amount of copyleft material so this is not entirely surprising). Images like the logo can be used under fair use rules - that is Wikimedia is not asking your permission to use it, they are taking (as it were) the rights granted to anyone under case law and the first amendment (I think that's it - not exactly a lawyer here myself!) to use any image under particular circumstances. This means that they will only use such an image in circumstances where they believe they would be legally able to regardless of the copyright holders views on the use (and in fact use is limited by policy even further than that on en.Wikipedia in an attempt to encourage people to produce more copyleft images).

I see you've reverted the permission you granted - that's good if it's not what you intended. You should also add the {{Non-free logo}} template back onto the logo page as that makes it clear the image is copyrighted - this is important for other people to know. The image can continue to be used in circumstances where a fair use rationale can be made - such as to illustrate your website.

For the tree branch image - if you're not prepared to offer that under a copyleft license I don't see any circumstances in which a fair use rationale could be made for it - you should probably put a {{db-author}} tag on the page. At the moment the page still says that you grant permission under the GFDL.

Notability of Clan lurkr[edit]

A tag has been placed on Clan lurkr requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
