August 2012[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on User talk:24.234.129.20, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. User template warnings don't include a signature automatically so you must add one yourself. elektrikSHOOS (talk) 03:26, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

American Constitution Party[edit]

With all due respect to you, all I did was move the page from the name American Constitution Party (Colorado) to American Constitution Party. I didn't delete anything, in fact I added content as seen here: 19:21, 28 November 2012. I didn't redirect the American Constitution Party page to Constitution Party (United States), that was done by user OlYeller21: 21:48, 9 December 2012‎. Perhaps he is the one you should be bringing this up with. Killian441 (talk) 18:16, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning your request to change the protection of Prophecy of the popes[edit]

...back to semiprotection. You can file a request at WP:RFPP, but I for one would urge to keep it at full protection; a look at the talk-page should be enough.... Lectonar (talk) 18:46, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bad revert, bad warning[edit]

You reverted an edit, identifying it as vandalism, and you warned the user about their "unconstructive" edit. But the edit in question was absolutely not vandalism. The user supplied an edit summary explaining why they made the edit. It is a completely valid formatting opinion. You should not have reverted without supplying a reason in your edit summary, you should not have identified it as vandalism, and you should not have issued a warning to the user. Disambiguation link notification for December 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stanton Street, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stolen Car (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

IRC[edit]

Hi, several people from the baseball wikiproject are getting together after Wizardman's sudden retirement to figure out a better way to organize the Wikiproject. One of the ideas we came up with is having our own IRC channel to help each other, as well as new users with collaboration and content. If you need help connecting to IRC join #wikipedia-coffeehouse connect. The IRC channel for Wikiproject Baseball is #wiki-baseball connect. Thanks Secret account 22:57, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits[edit]

Hi, SteelMariner! I've reverted a recent edit you made here as inaccurate (and problematic for several other reasons as well). Your edit summary indicates to me that you have overlooked the cited sources (and the corresponding content) located in the body of the article. This is just one of many such sources which help to clarify that the charges of "voter fraud" were always mischaracterizations. This content has been thoroughly discussed on the Talk page, as well as on noticeboards (see NPOV discussion), and the consensus wording is what is in the article. Hopefully that alleviates any confusion. Regards, Xenophrenic (talk) 04:50, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

next UK General Election[edit]

Hi, I notice you on the next United Kingdom general election talk page. Bondegezou and I have been discussing the possibility of a prose summary of the major shifts and trends in public opinion over the Parliament (where that can be seen reported in reliable sources) on the article page. I would tend to agree, and have started to draft, but would like others' views before I put too much work into it. Please comment! DrArsenal (talk) 13:37, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Leelah Alcorn[edit]

I am reminding you to assume good faith the next time you edit this topic area as accusing editors of being SJW is not constructive. I can understand why you are frustrated as the the AFD discussion is evidently being vote stacked by SPA's. Avono (talk) 12:45, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Heather Lyke, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scott Barnes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

April 2022[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on USS Carl Vinson. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Note: You are already aware of the edit warring policy, I'm just adding this as a pre-requisite, as offenders usually need to be warned before they are blocked.

USS Carl Vinson[edit]

I see you tried adding that content again, without consensus, but I'm not here to post any more notices or warnings. Both on that article and on the talk page, there is a lot of energy being spent with little accomplished for it, except for growing hostility. This is why I'm posting here, to let you that I am willing to discuss this with you. I believe the other editor there will as well, if you're willing to. There is no need for attitude, insults or threats, and the disruption to the page is not at all helpful. So let's start over, maybe you can begin by telling us why this is so important to you? Thank you - wolf 05:43, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many media sources have already pointed out this connection, and discussions about the namesake of military and government items are common and topical. That's why I added multiple citations to my recent addition. I don't appreciate receiving vandalism, edit war notifications for good faith, cited edits when I've been on Wikipedia for almost 15 years. SteelMarinerTalk 05:50, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You received a required notice about edit warring because you were edit-warring. You've now broken 4RR and I strongly encourage you to self-revert and discuss. The reason we have all these policies and guidelines is for situations just like this, when one editor believes he is right and is willing to continue revert-warring, no matter what. Your time with WP does not exempt you from the policies & guidelines, many of which I have repeatedly cited for you, neither does good faith (which you have shown very little of) or that you have added a ref.
The content is disputed, multiple editors now have removed it and you need consensus to re-add it, not just a willingness to keep clicking 'revert'. I have literally spelled this all out for you. And despite your hostility and insults, I have still tried to have a civil discussion with you and you refused. And then you reverted, again. So like I said, I suggest you self-revert and follow the established rules and processes, which after being on WP for 15 years, you should certainly be familiar with. - wolf 06:08, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
