Billboard number 1 updates[edit]

For the List of Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles of 2017 article, we don't use anything other than Billboard as a source. Besides that, YouTube is not considered a reliable source, regardless of who the video comes from, so please do not cite it in future. Thank you. Ss112 21:18, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017[edit]

In future, do not add new Billboard peaks to song articles without providing a reference. This is unsourced information and will be reverted. Thank you. Ss112 19:46, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Citing sources[edit]

When updating new Billboard peaks on song articles before Billboard's chart history pages update, please cite sources. You updated several peaks earlier without citing any. This isn't correct to do. You appeared to add a source to the Mainstream Top 40 number-ones page but then couldn't cite one on Slow Hands (Niall Horan song)? Ss112 19:17, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Updating lists[edit]

Please do not update lists with when the chart links have not updated yet. They won't update for basically another six hours. Information you add needs to be verifiable. It is not negotiable. It might be an obvious thing to you, but other users who are not so up-to-date on charts probably don't know if they come across it. Ss112 02:51, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Airplay Number ones 2010s[edit]

Don't change Post Malone's weeks at number one back to 11 in the 2010s Airplay page. The song spent 6 weeks at number one in its first run which started in the 2010s, was interrupted by Maroon 5's Memories for a week in 2020, and then spent an additional 5 weeks at number one in its second run atop the charts, which started in 2020 and thus belongs in the 2020s page. The overall total is 11 weeks, but it had two seperate runs atop and that should be reflected on the respective 2010s and 2020s pages. That's how it's been done for all number ones with non-consecutive runs atop the charts. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.103.6.242 (talk) 18:10, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Whaleyjones986, I hope you're well. I was hoping not to bring this to your talk page, but after numerous instances, I have to: Please stop adding the unofficial non-finalized Rolling Stone chart to the List of Rolling Stone Top 100 number-one songs of 2021 update. As I've pointed you to WP:RSCHART before, you know by now that the chart listed on a Friday is not the finalized version, it is merely a forecast of the official chart released on a Monday. It's probably usually the case, but it still doesn't matter whether the number one on the forecasted chart ends up being the number one on Monday, you have to wait for the release of the finalized chart on Mondays as that is the correct date. Moreover the reference you add does not work until the actual chart updates on a Monday (see the current link which I've just reverted you for: https://www.rollingstone.com/charts/songs/2021-05-20/ - it doesn't load). Thus, you're adding unverified content. I've told you to stop doing so a number of times, as early as last year already, yet you continue doing so. It's great that you take the time to update the list, and it's appreciated, but please read WP:RSCHART it if you still haven't. If you continue adding the unofficial chart, I will have to report you. Take care. AshMusique (talk) 17:42, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Marking edits as minor[edit]

Hi. I've just noticed you mark edits where you have added hundreds of bytes of data to a page as "minor" like here and here. Please stop doing this, otherwise this can be seen as misleading. A minor edit does not mean it was "minor effort", it means an insubstantial change to a page in terms of the data. Please see Help:Minor edit for what constitutes a minor edit. Thanks. Updating access-dates[edit]

As you are an editor who regularly updates number-one lists and provides new citations each time you do so, I'm very confused as to why you think updating peaks without updating the access-date is okay. Always update the access-date. Ss112 20:33, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
