Disambiguation headings[edit]

Please stop packing every conceivable instance of individual episode titles into unrelated article headings. Acroterion (talk) 18:56, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This might be something to do if individual episodes warranted articles, but it is definitely inappropriate for portions of list articles. Acroterion (talk) 19:11, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Acroterion: "The Leviathan" (Elementary) does exist as a redirect. Does that count? What We Talk About When We Talk About Love (talk) 19:12, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A redirect is not an article. In general, entries in disambiguation lists and headers should only exist if a unique article exists. Otherwise it becomes un-navigable. And even then, such links should be used with discretion. Acroterion (talk) 19:14, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Acroterion: Can Ray Carver still be linked to at Razor (nickname) then, for his nickname? What We Talk About When We Talk About Love (talk) 19:21, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That would probably be fine, but please remember that disambiguations are navigation tools for the benefit of general readers, and are not a reason to link or add indiscriminate references to things that are tangential. Acroterion (talk) 19:25, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
