Welcome to Wikipedia, Whenwilllove! I am Sallicio and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! It's me...Sallicio! 01:57, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Clarkson Theatre Company, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Cquan (after the beep...) 07:31, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. I see that since you left it, events have progressed with respect to the above-captioned article; it's now in a process called articles for deletion or AfD and any comments or improvement should be documented in the page that is linked in the box at the top of the article (this will serve you best); it's certainly out of my hands now. My understanding is that, in a general sense, articles about groups or corporations (such as theatre companies) of less-than-national interest can be subject to AfD assessment, which is why another editor initiated the process. The Wikipedia community is now assessing the article and I believe the best information about its future, etc., will be found there and not through me; I hope you find this helpful. You will probably find the assistance of individuals who are commenting in the AfD to be most useful, but if there's something further, I'll help if I can. I'm sorry, my message above contains an error. The page is not in the AfD process, it's been suggested for deletion in a less stringent process called "PROD" or "proposed deletion", and thus comments and suggestions should be left on the talk page of the article itself. I note that there has been a good deal of discussion there, and I think that place is the best location for discussion/proposals. Again, if I can be of further assistance, let me know.
