Please don't test things on the talk page that is not what it is for it is strictly for communication between people working on the article. You can test things out in your sandbox if you would like that's where most of us do our work before we bring it into the article itself. --IvanTortuga (talk) 18:56, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the advice. I am doing this as a school project so I am trying to communicate with my fellow classmates. My interpretation of the talk page is that you can edit/add anything and talk to the fellow editors about the changes. Am I wrong? Could you please clarify the proper protocol. Thank you.Whiteara356 (talk) 19:01, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see that the project ends pretty soon. The talk page can have pretty much anything you want on it long as it goes along with what the article is about. But putting the entire page up and editing it there is a no no. But you can use a sandbox, like mine User:IvanTortuga/Sandbox, and then tell people to see your sandbox so that they can see your tests. Also it is often helpful if you go directly to my talk page so that I can respond faster. OH also I have a link that you might find useful for information on the particular species. "fall field cricket (Gryllus pennsylvanicus)". Retrieved 2009-002-03. {{cite web}}: Check date values in: |accessdate= (help).
