Disambiguation link notification for August 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Carl Burnett, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rock. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, Whlrradio. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, "The Night Begins To Shine", for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Speedy deletion nomination of B.E.R[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on B.E.R requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article William J. Regan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable per WP:MUSIC, iTunes is not a reliable chart

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Whlrradio. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 15:43, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Whlrradio, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Once again on paid editing[edit]

Have you read WP:PAID yet? Because at the moment you are in violation of a a Wikipedia policy with legal considerations. For a start, please implement the instructions at "How to disclose". Thank you. Doug Weller talk 19:14, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Legal? You're going to sue me.

No, not at all. Block you perhaps, but the point about it having legal considerations is that there's really no wriggle room. What's your problem with complying? Doug Weller talk 19:36, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Whlrradio, I'm going to try a different tack. Editors are expressing your concern that because you've admitted that you're employed by a recording company (and that company has as one of it's clients the band you're trying to advocate for) that you have a conflict of interest, specifically in that to outsiders it appears that your editing as part of a job assignment or that you're getting paid to put this content on Wikipedia. We're not a means to promote independent or "up and comming" subjects. We require them to be notable based on independent reporting (i.e. having the band be reported on by Variety, CNN, New York Times, Billboard, etc) telling us about their notability. The specific notability guideline we're using to evaluate the contribution is WP:BAND (please read it before responding). Based on the reading of that guideline and the content you've provided, the musicians and song are not yet notable. There's no need to have an article on them right now. Think about how many garage bands get founded, record some songs, get a few vanity CDs, and then disolve into nothingness. If the band becomes more notable then we can evaluate if the subject should be included. Hasteur (talk) 19:41, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much Hasteur. I will read this in depth and consider all of its facets. However, I believe the members of the group are going to independently have someone compose an article for them seperate from the organization in the coming weeks when their notability is sure to appreciate. The Night Begins To Shine, infact, is estimated to chart on Billboard as it will not only be aired globally on the Cartoon Network but will be covered and released by Fall Out Boys and Cee Lo Green. I thank all of you editors for your help today, and forgive me for my agitated tone earlier in our conversation. In a few weeks when their new profile is submitted for review, I hope you call are able to read and critique it.

I believe the members of the group are going to independently have someone compose an article for them seperate from the organization in the coming weeks when their notability is sure to appreciate. Stop right there, that's future thinking and covered under WP:CRYSTAL (read it carefully). In a nutshell, anything can happen tomorow, however wikipedia isn't the news so we can't be breaking coverage of things that are about to happen. The Night Begins To Shine, infact, is estimated to chart on Billboard as it will not only be aired globally on the Cartoon Network but will be covered and released by Fall Out Boys and Cee Lo Green Again, a slight problem with this along the same Crystal ball problem. Also Notability is not necessarily inhereted. If those artists cover the song and it becomes of particular interest (see WP:NSONG for the details) it does not merit having the types of pages you've created for the original artists or producers of the song. Until then we're going to need hold off on the submission. I still strongly encourage you to suggest changes (or help provide sourcing) but not edit the article as we're supposed to be independent and neutral in our voicing and your percieved conflict of interest is causing more problems than helping the subject of the page. Hasteur (talk) 20:16, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How come you all interpret every single word with such a great degree of care? I was just telling you what I believe they are going to eventually do, I am not executing said belief. I have divested myself with the group in terms of promotion.

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as User:Whlrradio/The Sun Is Gone, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited.
