I noticed your interest in aircraft-related articles. There is a group of editors here at Wikipedia who have come together to form WikiProject Aircraft in order to improve aircraft-related articles. You are invited to check us out and, if interested, join our team. Our project page has a lot of resources as well as article guidelines that you might find helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Hi. I understand that the La Garita Caldera's calculated ejection volume directly corresponds to that of a VEI 8 eruption, but two sources, one a popular science book and another one a volcanology scientific paper, assert that the total volcanic explosivity constitutes that of a VEI 9.1 or a VEI 9.2, respectively. Further information was previously added to the article, La Garita Caldera. Also, please do not use ALLCAPS!!!-style edit summaries. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 00:15, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

to Wiki23, the guy who took off the VEI=9 heading for La Garita Caldera, It was in fact that big. It was in fact, BIGGER. AS far as is known, there was nothing even close to it during the entire Paleozoic or Mesozoic. It's explosive and destructive power was a unique occurance in geological history. Might there have been a bigger explosion during the first four billion years of earth history? Probably, but nothing nearly that big has happened since before the age of the trilobites. Let's give La Garita it's due, eh?Ericl (talk) 16:21, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reversed the recent edits on the PMDG article, for the reasons I have noted in the talk page of that article. I've also added the "multiple issues" template to the article that somehow got lost around the time of the last AfD. Notability hasn't been addressed in the article, nor has any assertion been made, using a reliable and verifiable source, that the companies list of products are notable. Indeed, no references have been given for the "currently working on" or any of the other products. If we want the article to survive the next Article for Deletion nomination, we need to ensure that it addresses the issue of notability, and is well referenced. If you know of any references that can be used to expand the article and, particularly, to address the issue of notability - please let me know and I will gladly add them to the article. I recreated the flightsim.com article from scratch using reliable sources, we need to achieve a similar level to ensure a quality article. Icemotoboy (talk) 04:31, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to get involved![edit]

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 06:05, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive[edit]

Hello. After a recent reoganization of WikiProject Volcanoes, we have established an "inactive" list. As your account has not edited for over 4 months, I am sorry to imform you that you're being moved to the list. If you wish to refute this and are indeed active, I am sorry for the mistake and you can revert my action. Thank you and happy holidays, ResMar 14:02, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

South Lancs derby[edit]

Hi Wiki, since it looks like there is no objections, I think it would probably be safe for you to rename South Lancashire derby to Bolton Wanderers F.C.–Wigan Athletic F.C. rivalry. As stated on the talk page, South Lancs derby is a made up term and renaming the page will allow the article to conform to other Wiki-articles. I would do it myself, but IP editors such as myself do not have the ability to rename pages. Thanks! 90.213.151.194 (talk) 20:47, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I would re-name the page, however it appears I don't have the privileges to do so. The best thing to do is contact one of the administrators of Wikiproject Football and ask them to do it. If you explain the situation I'm sure they'd be happy to do it. Wiki235 (talk) 14:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
