Center for Business Ethics Article[edit]

Hi,

I had created the Center for Business Ethics article and was taken down for speedy deletion because it was deemed as spam. The Center for Business Ethics article is not spam or advertising. We at the CBE would like to write an article to be posted so that it can be used as a reference when it comes to business ethics or social responsibility. The Center was one of the first to be established to talk about business ethics, scandals, corporate social responsibility, and much more that deals with ethics. Please advise on how I would be able to get the article up again. Thank you for your help.

There already exists an article on Business ethics; if you would like to expand on the information there, please feel free. All articles always benefit from the attention of experts in the field. However, the article you posted about the Center for Business Ethics was NOT a reference for business and social responsibility, it was a promotional description of the programs available at YOUR institution. If you think your institution is worthy of an article, based on reliable third-party citations in national press instruments, then you can post a request at the requested articles page, and hopefully some interested but neutral third-party editor will take up the call. I was simply trying to add information in a number of "new" categories that could help people understand new concepts like "PRF" and "autologous fibrin sealant".

If you can cite reliable third-party sources in your articles (even articles that your company has published in peer-reviewed journals would suffice), that would go a long way toward establishing the articles as something other than pure advertisement. It would be preferable to have a third party write the articles. You could post a request for article. If you still prefer to write the article yourself, try to keep it as factual as possible and keep out the marketing speak (words like revolutionary and breakthrough are definite red flags). Also, unless the medical community has come to accept PRF as a standard acronym for platelet-rich fibrin (as opposed to a convenient shorthand used in your company's marketing materials), I wouldn't add it to the PRF disambiguation page. I understand. However, PRP and PRF are widely used acronyms in the clinical litterature and therefore I find it sad that there is no explanation on wikipedia. Furthermore, I do not see how the company description (Vivostat) is less objective than other company descriptions (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coloplast). Please advise me what to remove. You've done a pretty good job a removing the advertising jargon in the Vivostat article. The conflict of interest tag should remain on the article until there has been significant contribution from other editors. As for the PRF acronym, that was removed from the disambiguation page because the page it linked to was removed. Firstly, I added the hangon tag to the page for a reason; I'm not a Wiki nerd like some people and it has taken me time to gather references and citations for the page, not a matter of minutes it took you to delete it! Secondly, I have no connection with Kiano.Net whatsoever, I simply thought up the name for my username, searched Google, and realised there was a website with the same name which is in desperate need of an article on Wikipedia, which is of course an encyclopedia, not just a collection of articles that people think are 'notable'. If you feel the article is worth creating, try creating it in your own user space. Once the page is to your liking, complete with citations, then you can place it in the general article space. As for the local government funding, you'll have to point that out to me because I've been all over the site and can't find any such indication. The purpose of the hangon tag is NOT to show that the work is in progress. It is to declare your claim that the page should NOT be deleted, with the intention of explaining WHY you feel it shouldn't be deleted on the page's talk page. Since you made no entries on the talk page explaining your hangon tag, an admin decided to delete your page. (Please note, I did not delete your page -- I only nominated it. That's why I suggest you use your own user space. You can expand and add whatever citations you feel are appropriate, and then place it in the main article space. If you feel I'm being unreasonable, resubmit the article. I will not touch it, and I'll leave it to other editors to make whatever evaluations they feel are appropriate. You have complained that you didn't have enough time to develop the article to your liking. If you develop the article in your own user space, you will have all the time you like. Once the article is developed to your liking (not finished, but just developed as much as you feel you can without others' input), THEN place it in the main article space. But that is not the point of Wikipedia, the status of the site, as described on the Wikipedia page is "work-in-progress", therefore the Kiano.Net article is "work-in-progress" and should be included on the site. It is an encyclopedia, NOT just a website containing information that 'people' think is 'notable'.

Please review the Wikipedia guideline outlined at WP:WEB. Although Wikipedia is described as a "work-in-progress", this refers to the open and ever-changing nature of the site. It does NOT mean that Wikipedia is to be used to catalog every piece of arcana that anyone chooses to deposit on it. For a website to be included in a Wikipedia article, the site must have been the subject of multiple secondary-source articles about it, describing not only how the site works but why the site is significant and how the site has impacted the internet community at large. If you can create such an article about Kiano.net, please do so. The article that you had created that got deleted was NOT such an article. If you take the time to develop the article in your own user space before introducing it to the main article space, you will have a better chance of the article not being speedily deleted again. Slad and Veter deletion[edit]

Hi. I'm totally disagree with a deletion of an Slad and Veter page. It's a heroes from the one of most popular USA Tv commercial...Millions of people(including me) are watching this commercial and they're really curios about every detail in this spot, especially about those guys. just type the Techno Twins commercial in the Google and you'll see how many things are there about it.It's already a 145.000 views on a you-tube and thousands of comments. And people are asking about the same thing OVER and OVER again. So, i think that u should rethink your decision.

Just because an actor appears in a commercial, that does not make them notable, no matter how interesting or clever or funny the commercial. (By the way, I really HATE those commercials, so you won't win me over with the argument that they're just really good commercials.) Wikipedia has policies about what constitutes a notable person, and if a person doesn't fit the guidelines, they shouldn't have an article. I can HATE a commercial without hating the persons in the commercial, and I have NO idea where jealousy and racism come into play. The fact is, your subject just isn't notable, and doesn't rate a Wikipedia page. You've gotten into arguments with at least 4 different editors over your articles, if you continue to add such articles, they will continue to be deleted. Thanks for the editing of my first Wikipedia article: Henry Lynn. I'm still learning. I spent 1 week constructing the original article, as a subpage of my User Page. Re- the biographical data in paragraph 1, the information about Henry's personal frustrations comes from his daughter, my wife, Lila Lynn (Humphrey), and from his wife, Kitty Cooperman Lynn. She lived with us for many years before passing on in 1987.

The Pogroms had a disasterous effect in Bialystok, especially in 1906 when a majority of the population was Jewish.

Earlier today I added references for Bialystok, Kitty, & Lila, and I see that only the Bialystok reference remains, so I assume someone edited/deleted the ones for Kitty & Lila.

Are daughter & wife not considered valid as direct sources for Henry's motivation & decisions?? His desire to leave Bialystok was very strong. In 1986 I heard him describe his feelings in 1912 when he came to Boston, alone, as a 17-year old.

Thanks for the fine editing (& accelerating my Wiki-education). Let me know about the deleted references of Kitty & Lila.

You can check WP:RS to see what are considered valid sources. In general, personal reminiscences of the author, the subject, or of others close to the subject are all considered "primary sources" and are not considered reliable. Photography and reality article[edit]

I fail to understand how my article constitutes original research. The article merely presented different points of view on the subject of the relationship between photography and reality with full referencing, and little to no comment. Your article represents an original synthesis of ideas not previously covered in any of the references you cite. Plato held one idea on the nature of images, while Sontag held a different idea. Your article synthesizes new thought from these two references. Even though your article draws no conclusions, it does open a new avenue of discussion not included in either of the source citations. You created a page in the article space named Redirected from George Tsimbidaros. This is not a proper name for an article. The content of the article was "See George Fteris". Unfortunately, there is no Wikipedia article with that name. Your personal user page (User:Iliada) contains an article with that title, but you have not placed the article into the general article space yet. When you do so, if you believe that people are likely to look for your article under the alternative name, you should create a second article with the name George Tsimbidaros, whose sole content should be "#REDIRECT [[George Fteris]]". As a person closely connected with the school, you should be careful about editing its Wikipedia article, in order to avoid a conflict of interest. Greenfields School[edit]

Hi Dan,

OK. Having trouble here. I have fully copyright permission and am the web editor.

Of course I want to change some information so that it is not false and give as much fact as possible.

There is no COI as I am not arguing any point of the web except want to change one false statement. The statement (not in a bad way) is that it is a "Scientology-based school." While I have no problem with Scientology or its methods, it just isn't.

This school is based of "Study Technology" which was developed by the same person as developed Scientology.

The school does not, has not, and will not run off or encourage any Scientology religious beliefs. We of course will put the connection to L. Ron Hubbard and leave it completely open for the public after giving the facts.

What do I do?

I am the copyright holder for "Greenfields School" and have developed and written the website myself so is there any major reason I can't just copy text? Do I have to re-write it all?

Help please.

I have no issues with identifying the school as a proponent of Study Tech, which already has a full Wikipedia article and which users are free to read and draw their own conclusions. The problem with adding the material from the school's website is 1) you did not post any information about having permissions (please see the guidelines at WP:Copyrights to learn what is necessary to post copyrighted material with permission); and 2) the school's website is, by definition, biased and non-neutral, and therefore is NOT a valid source for information about the school. The material you had posted was all very much promotional for the school. Wikipedia is not here to promote your school; it is here to provide verifiable, non-biased information. As a person closely associated with the school, you might not be the best person to provide such information. If you believe the article needs more information, you should consider creating an updated version in your own user space and getting some input from other editors before introducing it to the main article space. Alternatively, you could place a {{expand}} tag on the page, indicating that the page needs expansion. addition to wiki ecotourism page[edit]

Hi Dan61, I got your message about removing the external link for an ecotourism company based in the UK called Nature&Kind. The reason i put it there is they are very pro-active in ecotourism and sustainable travel activity and i have recently used them for a trip to South Africa ( they arent an agent just recommend travel experiences ) i am purely an individual who spent months doing research on the safari we did exploring alot of sites but felt the natureandkind staff to provide everything we required. They also have Bruce Parry ( BBC Presenter ) as their ambassador so they are very credible. Are you happy i relist the site?

Since the article already has a section about tour operators, you could probably add the name of the company in that section. If the company already had a Wikipedia article of their own, it would be OK to add the wikilink to that article. But you'll notice that the external links section doesn't list ANY other tour operators, as that would just be a promotion for that company, and that's not what Wikipedia is for. Not being able to read Turkish, I presumed that it was not actually about GSM Gateways, due to the POV statement "anti scientist turkish partizans".
