I have updated the article as best as I can for the time being but it can use some WP:RS sources that say that Dravidians are a race or genetics prove it to make it more neutral. Also look at the discussion page regarding your questionsRaveenS 17:43, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the upates. You have put in some good work. I am just a little shocked about how much this article talks about "race" and "genetics" as compared to the Indo-Aryan page. Also, weren't the Nazis of Germany into research of "race" and "genetics"? It's funny how race is mentioned 15 times in the Dravidian people article, while race is not mentioned one bit in the Indo-Aryan article. I view race as a species. As for me, there is only one race which is the human race. Dravidian is not a single "race", nor is it a single ethnicity. Dravidian is a "family" of related ethnicities and languages. While Indo-Aryan is also a specific "family" of related ethnicities and languages. Therefore, Dravidian and Indo-Aryans are two different families.
This page almost was turning into a proof page or a propoganda page. I am kind of confused as to why Sangam literature would be called "Tamil lore", while the Vedas would be concidered "Legends". I am glad that you have changed the title of the section from "Mythological Views" to "Historical Views". Also, I remember that you stated on the To Do List of the Dravidian people talk page about putting a map on there. I so happened to have found a map of where the various Dravidians are located in South Asia. For some odd reason, somebody had taken it off. Also, regarding WP:RS I have many books. As a matter of fact, I would like to quote as many legitimate sources as possible. However, due to other life's activities, I have not been able to post much on the Dravidian people page. However, when I do, it will most definitely be backed up by legitimate sources.
One more thing, please take a look at the Indo-Aryans. That is a really well done page. Lastly, thank you so much for your efforts. Wiki Raja 18:15, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks will follw up later RaveenS 17:40, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

You're not new at this [1]. And you got it right last time. Think about it: how exactly is anyone to know that the first revert *is* a revert. What to? The prev version, of course William M. Connolley 21:09, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Civility on 3RR

My comments on civility were directed not at you, but at the administrator who was out of line with his harshness; "what part of _____ don't you understand?" --Descendall 00:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for the message. I was a bit confused with his statement and wondered if I had done anything wrong for reporting a user violating the 3RR rule. Regards. Wiki Raja 01:14, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Mistakes

If I make typing mistake in a message I assume Adam Carr and I having a conversation about something - how come youre in there correcting my bad spelling? I find it somewhat perplexing if you are not party to the general flow of the conversation as to why I find you are editing my messages. I would appreciate in good faith a reasonable explanation as to what you might be doing? SatuSuro 04:34, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I was doing a random spell check on Wikipedia pages using the Lupin Spellchecker and forgot to checkmark Ignore talk pages and Ignore pages outside the article namespace. With all due respect please accept my humble appologies. Kind Regards. Wiki Raja 04:40, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation - that is sufficient for me to not worry about it all - no need to apologise - have fun with lupin - sounds great- must try it my typing is atrocious at the best of times..SatuSuro 07:05, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Vedda.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Vedda.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:24, 1 February 2007 (UTC). Template:Dravidian topics

hi,

All these art forms, Yakshagana, Kuchipudi, Mohiniatta, Bharatanatya etc., are all neither purely 'Dravidian' nor purely 'Indo-Aryan'. Speakers of both language groups have contributed in equal measure to the birth and development of these arts.

The Maratha(Indo Aryan) rulers of Tanjore who patronised the great trinity(Dravidians) who in turn composed in Sanskrit(an Indo-Aryan tongue) is a classic example how both language groups have contributed. Almost every single treatise and text of Carnatic music is written in Sanskrit(an Indo-Aryan language). Bharata Muni who wrote the Natya Shastra which is considered the greatest treatise on arts written in India is in Sanskrit(Indo-Aryan). Even the very term 'Natya' is Sanskrit(Indo-Aryan).

Indo-Aryan languages and speakers of Indo Aryan languages have contributed handsomely to the development of all of these arts. It is purely an accident of history that these arts are today being practised mostly in South India where majority of the people belong to the Dravidian group of languages. Just because this is the situation prevailing today, we cannot reinvent history to suit our convenience.

What if, say, after 200 years or 500 years, if Dravidian groups stop practising Bharatanatya and speakers of Indo Aryan languages take it up. Will the art become 'Indo Aryan' then?

Neither Dravidian groups nor Indo-Aryan groups can claim sole ownership or even credit for 'inventing' any of these traditions. If anything, these can only be classified as Indian traditions. Nothing else. Sarvagnya 16:53, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

The TomStar81 Spelling Award
Be it known to all members of Wikipedia that Wiki Raja has corrected my god-awful spelling on the page State Military characters of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga, and in doing so has made an important and very significant contribution to the Wikipedia community, thereby earning this TomStar81 Spelling Award and my deepest thanks. Keep up the good work! TomStar81 (Talk) 08:25, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Dear Wiki Raja: I have the Evo Morales article on my watchlist, and noticed that you edit that page. Which is how I found your userpage and it is interesting to note that you are a Tamilian. I wondered if you would be interested in taking a look at the Ilaiyaraaja article here on Wikipedia, sometime. We need people who are knowledgeable about the subject to help add a little more content to it (please see the talkpage of the article). If you are able to contribute (or even if you let us know what you think of the article or provide some constructive comments in the talkpage), we would be very delighted! Looking forward to hear from you. With regards, AppleJuggler 12:06, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Asian2duracell report

Hello. There's a template under the "current requests" section which you can copy for the standard formatting. (You'll need to click "edit", and the template will be in hidden comments indicated by <!-- Text --> .) You'll need to provide diffs indicating that you've contacted the other involved people, informing them that you've filed a request, and also provide a brief summary under the appropriate sections. Note that this isn't the Mediation Cabal, which is where you seem to have copied your format from. You may also wish to see some of the other requests currently on the page for examples of the format that's currently used. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks! Misspelling

Whedon misspelled "consistant" in his blog entry. Hence the usage of sic after the word (read the article if you're not aware what it means). Quotes are not supposed to be altered. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 00:50, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I was using Lupin Spellchecker to edit articles. I will keep an eye out for that in the future. Regards. Wiki Raja 00:52, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Fixed spelling after vandalism?

I've run across a number of your "fixed spelling" edits immediately after an article has been vandalized [2] [3] [4] [5], where you change the spelling of a word in what is obviously vandalism. Please be more careful with your edits. Thanks. --Ronz 17:37, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

I see that. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will keep an I out for vandalism. I usually run spell checks now and then. Would you recommend that if I see certain forms of vandalism that I remove it? Much regards. Wiki Raja 01:59, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm assuming that your spell checks are at least semi-automated, which could make it difficult for you to see what has been done in previous edits. I think removing vandalism is more important that spelling though. --Ronz 18:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I think I will do both in the future which will mean spending a little extra time on each article for both spelling errors and vandalism. Regards. Wiki Raja 18:47, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Your recent request for Checkuser

You recently compiled and listed a case at requests for checkuser. A checkuser or clerk has requested you supply one or more diffs to justify the use of the checkuser procedure in the case, in accordance with the procedures listed in the table at the top of the requests for checkuser page. For an outcome to be achieved, we require that you provide these diffs as soon as possible. This has been implemented to reduce difficulties for checkusers, and is essential for your case to be processed. A link to your recently-created case which has this information missing is here. Thanks for your co-operation. Daniel.Bryant 08:58, 7 February 2007 (UTC), checkuser clerk.

Re:Carnatic Music

Hi, my concern is just that it's better to come to a consent in the talk page before adding anything new to that article. Thanks for your clarification.Gnanapiti 15:21, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Nothing new has been added so far. When other people go out of their way to respect your culture, it is good to show gratitude. Even if they are Tamils. Wiki Raja 15:23, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

A warning.

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.

Ok! I've had enough. You not only seem to be tied up in knots with your understanding of the Dravidian issue, you also seem to be ignorant of some of the most basic rules of WP. First of all, realise that what is going on in the "Dravidian" related pages between you, me, that ip user and other users is a 'content dispute'. I dont know if you've noticed, but everyone there is against your views. Even Bakaman with whom I dont share a very cordial wiki-relation seconded my stance. As for you, I dont see any support forthcoming.

I started reverting only after I explained on various talk pages at length. Calling my edits vandalism is most uncouth of you and filing a frivolous checkuser just because you cant address the issue to convince others on the talk page is juvenile.

Anyway, you seem to be new here(you atleast act like one). As for me, I've been there, done that. As you can see on the checkuser page itself, you arent the first one to try the vengeful tactic on me. Each time I've come out clean. Go ahead and do your worst. Or better still, ping your frnd Parthi for pointers. He'll probably tell you not to get your 'knickers in a knot' on this. Happy trolling. Sarvagnya 16:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, but I have not engaged in any personal attacks against you other than you throwing peronal attacks at me and pushing your POV on this academic site. My reports against you are strictly following Wikipedia procedures in dealing with chronic vandals, trolls, and sock puppets. So far, you have not been able to give me any referenced sources to back your claims. While I have, as per request from you, have provided referenced sources well in abundance. You stated that if I provide referenced sources you would stop vandalizing pages relating to the Dravidian civilizations. However, that was not true and you continue to vandalize pages. I do not appreciate your threat against me and admin Jpgordon here Lastly, I also disagree with you that the talk page on Dravidian topics template is juvenile since I had provided well referenced sources. Unlike your posts with no referenced material, except for rash claims.Wiki Raja 20:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Please do me a favour. I am tired of reading your long messages. Please come to my talk page and make two lists with diffs. One for what you have called vandalism and one for what you have called personal attacks. And then I will reply. Before you make those lists, please read up on WP:VAND and WP:NPA. As for your filing for checkuser, it most certainly was in bad faith and only you could have manufactured evidence like you did on that page.
I gotta give it to you. You even conned the admin into thinking that there was sockpuppetry going on, until he actually went ahead and did the CU only to find that I and the ip live in two different continents!! Anyway, nice try.
As for civility, stop cribbing. Your accusations of me vandalising pages, edit warring when you havent obtained any consensus, filing frivolous checkusers in bad faith, etc., are as incivil as it can get. In your book, probably even this message of mine is incivil. But it is NOT. It is just stern. I am just mincing no words and telling it to you the way I see it. I am just being honest. That certainly is not incivil. Sarvagnya 22:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
