Laconia Daily Sun

I removed it because it seemed extraneous and added an advert like quality to the article that I thought was unnecessary. Is it common practice to have ad rates published in articles about small newspapers? If so, feel free to restore it. (Full disclosure, I'm a former employee of the paper and have family connections to Adam Hirshan). Avruchtalk 04:08, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I can understand that. Its possible that the Citizen or the Weirs Times have articles that more directly evaluate the circulation. LDS (like many free local papers) has a lot of discards that contribute to the circulation total, and just on general principle I wouldn't take the circ total in the ratesheet as authoritative (most of the ads are local, and its mostly regional or national buyers that focus on circulation - not as much incentive to have verifiable circ numbers). If you like you can revert it (if you haven't already) I'm not stuck on keeping the links out. Avruchtalk 04:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Flags in business infoboxes

This is in response to the message you left on my talk page. I have recently been deleting unencyclopedic flagicons from some business infoboxes. In these cases either the flagicon was next to the wikilink of the place of the flag and/or a flagicon was put into an infobox that is set up to put a wikilink of the place next to the flag. In these cases the flagicons added nothing of encyclopedic value because the name of the place is next to the flag and are merely being used as decoration therefore not being helpful to the reader. I have not been deleting flagicons from newspaper infoboxes in particular, in fact I can think of only three I have deleted them from. I have been deleting flagicons being used improperly in individual, group, and business infoboxes to get consistent infoboxes across Wikipedia. Aspects (talk) 05:58, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
