Hi Wikiert. Here is the text I posted in reply to your post at WP:NCHD:
Templates must be created in the template namespace, meaning a template's name must start with "Template:". Once you choose a name, you can enter it into the search field, click "Go", and then click on "Create the page" on the resulting search failure page, or create it using using various other page creation methods (see Help:Starting a new page). That's it for creation. Since templates serve such diverse purposes, what can and should go into the template itself would require more explanation on your part. For general pages which you might find useful, see Help:A quick guide to templates, Help:Template and m:Help:Advanced templates. I am also posting a welcome template below which has a lot of useful links. Cheers. --Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 16:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi I would love to contribute to the WikiProject you have created, sounds a great idea! I will look into it tomorrow as I'm really busy in real life at the moment, but I'll look forward to it! Regards, Schumi555 (talk) 18:23, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
WikiProject Chesterfield is a great idea, but I believe there is not much scope for it, i.e. the number of articles that would be covered by the project, especially as Wikipedia:WikiProject Derbyshire is around. A quick look at Category:WikiProject Cities shows only 29 cities in the world with WikiProjects, all of which are much larger in size than Chesterfield (I cannot find 1 town with a WikiProject). At present, I feel that joining WP:Derbyshire and contributing to articles relating to Chesterfield from there would be much more beneficial than working on WP:Chesterfield. Regards, Schumi555 (talk) 14:33, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi Ive been asked to comment. I see the comments above and have to agree. Wikiproject East Midlands (last time I looked) was pretty abandoned. Wikiproject Derbyshire is just about viable although even then we have people who think we are not doing anything. If we divide our efforts into changing articles to be labelled "wikiproject Chesterfield" then that is going to occopy one person to little improvement in the wiki. The Chesterfield articles are great (Ive written a few myself e,g. Samuel Pegge) but I would prefer to see you to drag the Derbyshire project to have a chesterfield bias, arther than leave it to cover all articles that are not Chesterfield ... we could do with the attention Victuallers (talk) 16:17, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

re: Motto Revision
Hey, no problem, man, and thanks for the Kudos. The mottos need to be clearly relevant to Wikipedia, so the trick is to find some relevant links (usually in the Wikipedia Namespace and pipe (|) them in. Thank you for contributing such a great motto, and I hope you continue to work with us. :-) Also, if you like the revised version, don't forget to offer your support to it. What a brilliant finale to Round 1. With so little in it it was always going to be a tight contest, particularly in the all-important wildcard places. Congratulations to all those who have made it to Round 2, and commiserations to all who have been eliminated. I hope you continue to contribute as fully as you have been in the tournament, if not better!
As has been stated before, Round 2 begins Wednesday, April 1 2009. I hope you are all ready!

The start of Round 2 has been in some respects an explosive one, with one user in particular almost in the triple figures after just a week. There are obviously contestants with no points or very few, but as it is so early in the round this can probably be excused. Keep it up everyone!
Note that due to unforeseen circumstances, Mitchazenia has been eliminated from the contest. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

POWERHOUSE USA
You tagged the POWERHOUSE USA page as A7, but it should've been tagged as G11, because it makes some assertion of significance, thus not eligible for A7, but it is unambiguous advertising, thus failing G11. Thanks, --Patar knight - chat/contributions 14:40, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

This is just a quick reminder that the round ends this Friday, May 29, 2009.
I wanted to let you guys know the current standings. If you are very close, but not close enough, work as hard as possible these next two days. Pool leaders are listed as usual, and under the 10 wildcards, are competitors that are still fighting for a spot. Also, if you currently have any un-reviewed GAN's up and you'd like them to be reviewed and counted for this round, you must place them on the appropriate thread of the WikiCup talk page.
Hi all. Round 2 is officially over, and we're very pleased with the results. The lowest passing score was over 200! We are very impressed with the last minute pushes to get a spot, which many of you did through mainspace editing your butts off for the last week or so. We really hope that those of you who did a lot of mainspace editing this time around will take some of that and turn it into good and featured content next round.
The pools for Round 3 will be up soon; the round starts tomorrow, June 1, 2009. As always, nominations that were nominated last round but not passed yet, may count for this round. Hope to see you all working very hard, as you are down to the Top 16, and it's going to take a lot to make the Top 8!
Those of you who were eliminated and no longer wish to receive this newsletter may remove your name from this list. If you were eliminated, but are still looking for some fun editing competition, check out User:Shappy/Amazing Race Wikipedia which starts in July.

Wow, what a big start to Round 3! We already have people past the 50 point mark, in one week. We can tell that this round is going to be tight, and we'll likely see every Top 8 contestant with over 500 (maybe 400) points by the end of this round. Keep working hard! – weburiedoursecretsinthegarden, iMatthew : Chat , and TheHelpfulOne

Turns out last week's newsletter was never sent out. Sorry about that! Since we already had it done, we are sending you both. This newsletter is the one for this week though. Anyway, we're seeing you guys working really hard. There are a few of you over 100 points in the first two weeks. Also, we have switched Ottava Rima from Pool D to Pool B, and Shoemaker's Holiday (who has withdrawn) from Pool B to Pool D. Scorpion0422 is more than likely to withdraw before this round ends, because he will be inactive next round. That would leave 2 contestants in Pool B. So, to make things fairly even, we have switched the two contestants. Sorry for all of the confusion!
Finally, we know it's very early, but you can already sign up for the 2010 WikiCup, here! We want to get everything ready way in advance for next year. So we opened the list up, and we'll start working things out in September/October, most likely. Information is all on the page, and you may leave any questions on the talk page.
