Regarding edits to The Cornballer[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Wikijimmy! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule cgi\.ebay\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 00:11, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion![edit]

Want to learn how to use your sandbox? Just click here! Happy editing! Sushant gupta (talk) 14:43, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you created the page Wikijimmy/Sandbox/Susan-Hunt-Wulkowicz I guess you meant it to be in your user space, so I have moved it to user:Wikijimmy/Sandbox/Susan-Hunt-Wulkowicz. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:44, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your sandbox is user:Wikijimmy/Sandbox and the Susan-Hunt-Wulkowicz page you created is at user:Wikijimmy/Sandbox/Susan-Hunt-Wulkowicz. When you create a page in your user space, it needs to start with "user:Wikijimmy". If you just start with "Wikijimmy" it goes into the main encyclopedia article space, and will probably get deleted. JohnCD (talk) 14:51, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

you might get blocked if continue to create pages like this (the pages which need to be placed under your user space and not as articles). Sushant gupta (talk) 14:55, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image, SteveG.jpg[edit]

Hiya --

Steve's out of the office today, but tomorrow i'm going to have him send me a message authorizing this image to be re-released to Wikipedia under a new license. Which license structure would you prefer? I say 'you' because you're clearly more into Wikiworld than I am and you'd probably know.

This link should work for you, then choose one of the free licenses from the dropdown list, fill in the description and date fields, and you should be good to go. --John (talk) 23:07, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:05, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:2012jwestheadshotlg.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:2012jwestheadshotlg.jpg, which you've sourced to http://jessamyn.info/pix/2012jwestheadshotlg.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:14, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
