Notes on addition[edit]

Hi! I wanted to give you some notes on the addition you made to Norman Mailer. The main thing is to be careful about how things are phrased. For example, the word notable can be a bit subjective to the reader - even if many would agree that it's notable. If you're quoting the source material, make sure that you attribute it to the author so that it doesn't come across as your own opinion on the topic. The word "even" is another thing to be careful about - it puts an emphasis on something that you see as extra important - which runs the risk of coming across as a personal opinion. Also, make sure that you specify the page number the information came from when you are citing books.

Now that said, this is definitely something important to mention in the article, so this is definitely a good catch! The biography also makes for a good source as well, so that was nicely chosen as well. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:53, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Great works so far. I'd like to add that you can use shortened foot notes, particularly if a source you're using happens to be in the bibliography already, like Adams in The White Negro. Also, be sure you eliminate the space before your citations — and most importantly, use page numbers in your citations. Keep up the good work. —Grlucas (talk) 11:09, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WN Bibliography Entries[edit]

Good formatting on entries. You write well. Focus your annotations to just what's germane to WN. Odd selection of page numbers for Adams — I assume that these are those that deal directly with WN? Be sure to proofread to eliminate typos. Do not use a hyphen when you need an em dash; do not use an ampersand when "and" is necessary; and you might consider an Oxford comma. You posted your additions early — good for you! Again, you write well, and you clearly pick out important and relevant information from your sources. Pay attention to the citation scheme of the article; you entered references that were already present. Also, be sure you put your additions where they make logical sense.
