November 2015[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to The Bee's Knees has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 05:05, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And undone again. Your comments are speculation on your part and have no placein Wikipedia, and certainly not in a disambiguation page. A disambiguation page just serves to direct people to teh appropriate page. Meters (talk) 05:16, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WillShakes44, sorry you are getting reverted. Dictionary definitions do not belong on Wikipedia, that is why Wiktionary was created in the first place. You will notice that the page already has a box linking to the Wiktionary entry. I am posting below a welcome message with some helpful links for new editors. @Meters: the insertion is specualtion, but it is not WillShakes44's speculation. Wiktionary has this suggested etymology and provides sources, so if we did have a page for this then it could go in, and there has possibly been enough written about the phrase to support a short article. @Meters: Pinging again 'cos I messed it up first time. SpinningSpark 07:49, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Spinningspark:Fair enough, it's not WillShakes44 speculation, and I apologize for saying so, but I didn't revert it as vandalism. It appeared to be a well-intentioned edit so I undid it, and I didn't leave a warning. Instead, I undid the edit with the summary "not the plece for speculation, even if this was not a disambiguation page" and left the user an explanation with the summary "please don't add this again".
