If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Williams Ibekwe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Finngall talk 22:50, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Nneamaka Isolokwu.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nneamaka Isolokwu.jpg, which you've attributed to georginavaughanphotgraphy.com. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BethNaught (talk) 07:45, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nneamaka Isolokwu[edit]

Okay so let me explain to you the situation. Please read Wikipedia:GNG. Miss Teen USA contestants are not considered notable and never have been, and if you were to create a page for Isolokwu you'd need to create one for every Miss Teen contestant ever. The same goes for Miss USA contestants. They are not notable in their own right either. Beauty pageant contestants must hold a national title (for Americans pretty much only Miss USA, Miss America, Miss World America, or Miss Teen USA) to have notability, and even with that many do not get articles. You need to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:ONEEVENT. If you continue to recreate this page I'm going to be forced to report you for disruptive editing and not following rules. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 16:40, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Maria Okanrende[edit]

Hello Willybeez,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Maria Okanrende for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

A tag has been placed on File:Maria Okanrende collage.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. License tagging for File:LeadwayLogo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:LeadwayLogo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:06, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Willybeez, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Leadway has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to read and understand the above material before you resume editing. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 05:56, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2019 general election[edit]

Hello Willybeez. To clarify the 2019 situation, both the presidential and NA elections are on the same day, so it's a general election. The headline of the Guardian source you were using may have been confusing but I hope ones like INEC announces dates for 2019 general elections will clarify the situation. Cheers, Number 57 22:46, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate that you began the article about the presidential election, but we combine articles when elections where possible when they are held on the same date, for instance Burkinabé general election, 2015, Central African general election, 2015–16, Ghanaian general election, 2016, Nigerien general election, 2016, Sudanese general election, 2015, Tanzanian general election, 2015, Ugandan general election, 2016, Zambian general election, 2016 and of course Nigerian general election, 2015. Cheers, Number 57 00:02, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop being difficult about this. Why do you refuse to accept that we continue with the system used for Nigerian general election, 2015? Number 57 00:09, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The reason there are separate articles for the other elections is because they were not held on the same days. Like 2007 (which you ignored) and 2015, this one is being held on the same day. Do you understand the difference? Do you not see all the articles I linked to above? Number 57 00:14, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Because the American election articles are too long to be in a combined article. You are welcome to split back to Nigerian presidential election, 2019 when the Nigerian general election, 2019 becomes too big. However, the precedent for Nigerian elections is very clear – Nigerian general election, 2007 and Nigerian general election, 2015. I appreciate you are unhappy about having your work edited by another editor, but you need to understand that I am trying to maintain some consistency in the Nigerian election article series, in which you can clearly see that the precedent is to have a single article where elections are on the same day. The American example is an exception to this general rule and you can see the many examples above that show that it is usual practice to have one article on general elections (here are some more examples: Guinea-Bissau general election, 2014, Kenyan general election, 2017, Liberian general election, 2017, Malagasy general election, 2013, Malawian general election, 2014, Mozambican general election, 2014, Namibian general election, 2014, Somaliland general election, 2017, Zimbabwean general election, 2013). As you can see, there are 17 examples of countries having a general election article, in addition to the two previous Nigerian ones that meet the criteria for doing so. Please reconsider your position. Thanks, Number 57 00:29, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Generally we have separate articles on national and sub-national articles, so you can put all the State Assembly and gubernatorial elections into separate articles. I'm also a bit confused about you mean by "type of election = presidential"? Are you referring to the infobox? This is separate to the contents of the article and is just used to display the results of part of the election; you can see this is being used in many of the examples I've cited above (e.g. Zimbabwean general election, 2013).
If you want examples from other continents, please see Argentine general election, 2015, Bolivian general election, 2014, Bosnian general election, 2014, Brazilian general election, 2014, Chilean general election, 2017, Dominican Republic general election, 2016, Ecuadorian general election, 2017, Macedonian general election, 2014, Mexican general election, 2012, Paraguayan general election, 2013, Puerto Rican general election, 2016, Philippine general election, 2013, Uruguayan general election, 2014. Number 57 01:00, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please stop making a mess of the 2007 and 2015 election articles. Number 57 01:01, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Willybeez. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 2016 Nigerian federal budget, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Proposed deletion of Schick (magazine)[edit]

The article Schick (magazine) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Newly launched magazine

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. An update from the Sustainability Initiative[edit]

Thank you for supporting the Sustainability Initiative!

Hi, Willybeez! Thank you again for supporting the Sustainability Initiative, which aims at reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement. Over the past two years, more than 200 Wikipedians from all over the world have come together to push the Wikimedia movement towards greater sustainability.

What's new?

We are writing you this message because there is great news: The Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation has finally passed a resolution stating that the Foundation is committed to seeking ways to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. Also, we have created a cool logo and found a nice name for the project which you can see on the right :-)

What's next?

Currently, we are working with Wikimedia Foundation staff to make sustainability a key priority for the selection of a new location for Wikimedia servers in Singapore. Also, we have presented the Wikimedia Foundation with a green energy roadmap to have all Wikimedia servers run on renewable energy by 2019.

Please help!

Let's keep this project moving forward – and there are several ways in which you can help:

  • Ask other Wikipedians to sign the project page as well – this way we can show the Wikimedia Foundation that this is an issue that the community really cares about.
  • Talk to Wikimedians you know about the importance of reducing the environmental impact of the Wikimedia movement.
  • Improve and translate the project page on Meta.

If you have any questions, you can contact us on on Meta. Again, thank you very much for your support! --Aubrey and Gnom (talk) 09:37, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 2016 Nigerian federal budget requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your draft article, Draft:Hannah Stocking[edit]

Hello, Willybeez. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Hannah Stocking".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 16:43, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kaitlan Collins, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fag (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:17, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not try to replace a redirect with an article, when a draft article (Draft:Cree Cicchino) already exists – work on the Draft article first. Thank you. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:54, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Willybeez, I restored the redirect as the article doesn't not demonstrate that the subject meets WP:ENT. The draft, however, shows much more promise. Once there is an approved draft, it can be moved to mainspace over the redirect.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:04, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ponyo. It's been on my "To Do" list to get back to that Draft and flesh it out – I think one more in-depth profile of Cicchino would be enough to tip it over into the meeting WP:BASIC, etc. --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:16, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
