You've now met the "Regulus Marzo" sockpuppet

Just for your information: your recent rv on the article List of members of the ASEAN was on a particularly annoying user who has been blocked many times...under many names. Go here to view some of his previous handles. As you can see they are all very similar naming patterns. Admin Kusma is very aware of this particular sock and has assisted me before in dealing with him. Former sysop, NSLE is also familiar with this user and, like Kusma, was very helpfull in taking care of him prior to his losing his admin status. I thought I would give you a heads-up on this just in case you come across any Regulus socks in the future. Cheers and take care! !!!! Anger22 13:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

WinBot

Hi. I just visited your User:WinBot page to see who the bot operator was. When I was there I noticed that the emergency shut off button appears to overlap the statement "This user account is a bot operated by Winhunter." so that when you click on your user name it tries to shut down the bot. Luckily I don't have administrator permissions, so it doesn't seem to have caused any damage this time. You may wish to change the page layout though in case an administrator shuts your bot down by accident. Road Wizard 13:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

H5N1 vandalism

Would you object to my replacing your comments on User talk:163.1.215.56 with a somewhat gentler {{test1}} message? WP:DBTN and all that... Waitak 13:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for a quick and gracious response. Done (w subst) as recommended. Waitak 13:43, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

RfA thank you

My RfA

Hi, I would like to express my gratitude for your participation at my recent RfA. The final vote was 68/21/3 and resulted in me becoming an admin!

For those of you who supported my RfA, I highly appreciate your kind words and your trust in me. For those who opposed - many of you expressed valid concerns regarding my activity here; I will make an effort in addressing them as time goes on while at the same time using my admin tools appropriately. So, salamat, gracias, merci, ありがとう, спасибо, धन्यवाद, 多謝, agyamanak unay, شكرًا, cảm ơn, 감사합니다, mahalo, ขอบคุณครับ, go raibh maith agat, dziękuję, ευχαριστώ, Danke, תודה, mulţumesc, გმადლობთ, etc.! If you need any help, feel free to contact me.

PS: I took the company car (pictured left) out for a spin, and well... it's not quite how I pictured it. --Chris S. 23:53, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't worry

I just restructured the talk page, didn't remove anything. Was a mess. Sijo Ripa 09:23, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

My RfA thanks

Hello Winhunter/Archive-Aug06, and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of (105/2/0). I was very pleased with the outpouring of kind words from the community that has now entrusted me with these tools, from the classroom, the lesson in human psychology and the international resource known as Wikipedia. The Free Encyclopedia. Please feel free to leave me plenty of requests, monitor my actions (through the admin desk on my userpage) and, if you find yourself in the mood, listen to some of what I do in real life. In any case, keep up the great work and have a fabulous day. Grandmasterka 06:09, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

Hi Winhunter,
I just wanted to say thanks for choosing not to give me an oppose.
As i'm sure you can appreciate i wasn't too happy with 8 Opposes (inc. 2 strongs) within an hour of nomination
just wanted to let you known it meant a lot
Thanks :)

Sorry! I do apologize for my mistake. Wrong tab, won't happen again. laddiebuck 07:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I've removed your tagging of Moses 2 (talkcontribs) as a General Tojo socket puppet. Moses 2's contributions do not fit GT's modus operandi in my honest opinion. See Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#General Tojo (talk • contribs) for known examples. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  16:00, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your support!

Hello Winhunter and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with a final tally of (67/0/0)! Please don't hesitate to let me know what I can do for you (or what I can generally do better) regarding admin-related duties or otherwise! :)

Self block

Yes, I assure you, an error! I was trying to shorten a proper block. Thanks for observing. Tyrenius 14:17, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Cranbury School

Does a "Blue Ribbon" award count as notability for a school? Cranbury School got one from the U.S. Government. WhisperToMe 16:09, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Also, keep in mind Cranbury School is, in and of itself, a school district (a local government much like a city or a county, etc.) - It's not unreasonable to ask to merge school articles into the parent district (e.g. a non-notable Los Angeles school into Los Angeles USD's page) - But Cranbury School IS the district - there's nowhere to merge the page! WhisperToMe 16:57, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Soviet Union Anthem

Sorry I hadn't noticed the rest of the article was deleted in my edit. I think there was a conflict with a vandalizer before my edit so that's why it happened. Sorry once more. --85.240.233.84 12:49, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

You're quick! Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my talk page. Even though I was at my computer editing at the time, you got it before I even knew it was there.  :) --Ed (Edgar181) 13:23, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

WNDY

I'm confused as to why you labeled that edit as vandalism - the station website bears out the slogan change. Lambertman 18:19, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing the impressive the pile of supports gathered on my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 0x0104/0x01/0x00. I'm happy that so many people have put faith in my abilities as an admin and promise to use the tools wisely and do my best not to let you down. If I ever may be of assistance, just leave a note on my talk page.
Misza13, the rouge-on-demand admin wishes you happy editing!

Mission Critical

I moved 'Mission Critical' the description of a game to 'Mission Critical(game)'. meatclerk 04:41, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

please do not "unicodify" (convert from html entities to literal unicode) stuff in the ASCII range

if stuff in the ascii range is in the form of entities then its probabablly that way for a good reason, please leave it alone (example of breakage caused by such a conversion

Admin elections

I don't understand, how is it that Wikipedia determines you do not become an admin even with more support that opposition? --HResearcher 09:48, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

My RfA and your vote

Hi Winhunter,
Thanks for participating in my RFA! Ultimately, no consensus was reached, but I still appreciate the fact that you showed up to add in your two cents. I've accepted your criticism as an incentive to improve--in these upcoming months I intend to be more active with AfDs. You can feel free to talk to me about it or add some advice on my improvement page.

Sincerely, The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me)
